Progress with HH

After a long 3-4 week process of working out, eating right, and ionto treatments, id say my feet/hand sweating has decreased atleast 50%. I'm mostly dry when im at home (75% Dryer), but still sweaty when i go out, could be a mix of hyperhidrosis and anxiety (maybe 20% dryer).

My routine:
*Mon, Wed, Fri, Sun: Upper body workout with dumbbells / Stability Ball / Pull-Up bar, and free body eg; pushups.

*Tue, Thur, Sat: 20 Minutes of Heavy bag boxing work, 10 Minutes Speed Bag, 30-60 minute jog/walking. Sometimes Lower Body Workouts but i don't know many routines for legs without going to the gym.

*Everyday Ionto treatment with 18v batteries, warm water mix with baking soda. I do 5 minute intervals and switch 3 times every 5 mins, which equals to 20 minutes total.

FYI I've been kinda on and off with the ionto, like ill miss a day or two between sessions cuz i get lazy. I'm also planning on increasing voltage to 24 volts and using AC/DC adapters so i don't have to worry about charging the two 9volts. Also, boxing work is more cardio intense then running but i bruised my left pinky and can't feel anything so i've been just running for the past week. My feet seems to smell a LITTLE less, but still not a big progress since the sweating isn't down to 100%.

Conclusion, i don't know specifically if excercise is decreasing sweating or ionoto, but either way im seeing some results after about 4 weeks. Plus i feel good cuz i haven't worked out for probably two years.

Edit: Oh yea, i have wood flooring in my house and when my feet sweat at 100% i would only hear those sticky sounds when i walk, but i can sometimes throughout the day hear squeeking cuz my feet is dryer! Oh how i missed my squeeky sounding feet

I also see progress when i work out. I have a suggestion. You should meditate. A lot of people think its stupid but it helps with the anxiety. When you are in a situation were you are anxious it really helpfull to be able to calm your mind.

 i forgot about my new thread :p. Thanks for the advise mmichel07. I usually walk my dogs to a near by park and there's a really quiet and private area that i know and i usually relax with my dogs and listen to the trees "sing" lol :). It really gets me mellow and i get to bond with my dogs!

Status Update
I've been keeping up with my routine and upped my homemade ionto voltage to 24v and started using dr. scholls odor destroying insoles. It has really helped my feet/hand!! My feet isn't super wet like it used to, just feels a little sticky between my toes and the horrible odor i had to deal with is down to a dealable level! I can actually stand in line to order some food in a public place and not have people stare at me, comment, or sneeze. Last time i took my dogs to petsmart and i had a real lasting conversation with a person there and she didn't notice any weird BO coming from me!! Don't give in guys, i seem to be having a little luck :) hope it never ends

Hey man, bloody great to know you're making progress! I've been excersising more and eating better which seems to be helping with the feet sweats. Good to see that ionto is helping - homemade right? I think I may give it a go at some point. The insoles are really helping me aswell I think. Make sure you dry them out in between each useage of course.

Keep us updated on your progress anyhoo :)

Status Update For 3/21/2010

So i upped my ionto volts to 24v and just like when i first started using the ionto machine, my feet started to sweat more which seems to be the norm. After about a week or two it should go down hopefully a lot more then when i did 18v. I started to gain some self esteem so started going to my local 24 hour gym about two days ago and man do i feel good! Sweating seems to vanish completely AFTER a good hardcore workout at the gym, compared to doing mild workouts at home. My Dr. Scholl insoles on the other hand seems to be failing :( , after two days of using a fresh pad it doesn't absorb the rest of my sweaty feet. People do stair and cough at the gym, but i don't care anymore cuz i feel good working out.

Since the hot and humid weather has been lingering around today, my feet was sweaty so im deciding on trying drysol from pharmacy.ca when i go to sleep since i don't sweat anymore at home thanks to ionto. What was everyones experience with drysol? I've used hypercare and certain dry about a year ago, but it didn't work since i was sweating all day even at home, so i think my night sweats washed away the antipesperint stuff.

PS: Just so no one gets confused. After doing ionto treatments, my feet don't sweat at HOME, but it still does when i go out. I think it's a mix of little bit of sweating and anxiety that i developed over the years due to HH, which just increases my sweating. Some days when i feel really good and high self esteemed, sweating is at a minimum. Other days when i get doubtful or a little paranoid, it sweats. The mind is a powerful weapon lol.

3/27/2010 Update

DRYNESS!!

Well i've been keeping up with my ionto sessions and working out. I stopped going to the gym for the past two days cuz im sore all over so i'm taking a weekend rester :). So today i went to the market to buy some stuff and gas station, it's about 81 degrees and my feet has been dry for the most part. A little "normal" sweating but nothing like before. I had one cig on the way home and my feet sweated a little bit but again, nothing like before!! Just to step up my routine i bought certain dri solid to apply at night since my feet don't sweat at all when im at home now. I didn't know certain dri made a solid stick?? Anyway, everything seems to be going well for me so far ;). I plan on buying some 2mg test avert's at pharmacy.ca when i start going back to school in the fall just for back up. And yes i said fall cuz with the state budget in california, adult classes are canceled for the summer.. damn i want my diploma!!! lol

EDIT: I forgot to mention. My hands seem to sweat more now since my feet doesn't as much. But i can live with hands sweating compared to feet sweating.

Try using at least 1/2 rainwater, 1/2 tap with your Ionto treatment. This has increased my efficiency in treatment. Iknow it sounds weird, yet rainwater seems to have all the right stuff in it. Collect it in pans, pails, however you can.

LOL, California is in some serious trouble (as well as the whole country...)

Anyway, I can't believe you prefer wet hands to wet feet! Complete opposite for me. I mean, sweaty feet are annoying but I usually wear socks, so even if I"m walking around someone's house I'm not leaving wet marks on their floor. But if my hands are dripping wet it is very hard to hide so I have to go through all the usual tricks (putting them in my pockets, trying to wipe them off, washing them in the bathroom, etc etc).

Hmm that's actually a smart idea Sprawling... but i live in california and i don't think i'll be seeing rain for quite awhile :(.

Hey Sweatparty, i don't PREFER sweaty hands over sweaty feet cuz i hate both. But when my feet sweat it starts to reak and make everyone run away from me, where sweaty hands doesn't. Sooo i'd take leaving my fingerprints on everything then leaving a trail of funk on everything lol.

IHATEHH, find a lake, stream, or even some ocean water. Add that to your mixture if rain is no where in sight.

Update 4/5/10

Ionto at 24v every other day, certain dri solid every other day during sleep, and gym 5x a week. Conclusion, dryness! I can actually feel the softness of my socks instead of a sticky wet feeling from hh. Hopefully my routine will still work for the upcoming HOT HOT summer, i'll update when it comes to it.

And sprawling, it's suppose to rain a little bit this upcoming week so i'll give rain water a try.

Dave,

Good to hear you've tapped into something like a cure...
I haven't started my ionto treatments yet...way too busy. I've been working too much. Maybe this weekend I'll hook everything up. But I've been eating less carbs just in general...totally makes a difference. And exercise...let's not even go there.

BTW, did you feel the earthquake in Cali on Sunday? How did THAT influence your sweating? haha
Whenever I'm at work and I feel the building shake I have to remind myself that I'm not in LA anymore...and there are no fault lines in San Antonio that I'm aware of. haha

Anyways, good job. Keep it up.

Hey assassin. Ya i felt the quake, it was just an aftershock so it wasn't too bad. I thought i just took too many claritins for alergies and was starting to get woozy lol.

Update
I think i can confirm that my treatment is soley from ionto treatments. I tried just using certain dri and working out for two weeks and my feet started to sweat a little bit. I start doing just ionto and working out for a week now and my feet is starting to get dry again.

For me personally.......It's all about the smell that bothers me. I use Mitchum deodorant and that helps a ton with the smell. If you don't smell bad, it tends to make you feel less paranoid.

As for my feet. I got turned on to it by an infomercial. It's called "what odor?"
I spray it in my shoes when I get home.....and it works great. If your shoes are pretty stinky (like mine) you have to spray them everyday to REALLY get rid of the smell, but once you have nutralized the odor, you can keep it under control. You have to order it on-line at What Odor? - Official Company Website trust me!!!! Best investment I ever made :)

Hey everyone, sorry for not being on for over a month, i've been pretty busy since i got back into school and such. But anyways, i stopped using ionto for a month and my sweating came back full force along with the weird odor. I'll admit i got lazy doing 30 min sessions every other day, but i learned my lesson now. Im going to start up my sessions again starting today everyday for a week then go back to my every other day schedule. I just wanted to let everyone know that ionto definetly helps, it doesn't stop my sweating 100% but it makes such a big difference, especially for my confidence level. I also still workout everyday 5 times a week, but after stopping ionto for a month, i can confirm that regular excercise doesn't stop hyperhidrosis.

Edit: i would also like to add that i have actually grown to liking my homemade ionto. The muscle tightning zinger i get when i switch the currents feels kinda good and gives my feet somewhat of a relaxer... like tiny tiny tiny people giving my a massage :D

Has anyone tried putting a variable speed thingy on a homemade Ionto device? They must make something simple that can control the current, kind of on the lines of a light switch dimmer. It would hook up between the battery and the tray.

^ i've considered putting a volt meter on mine but to buy a decent box on ebay is like $60+ and thats too much for me considering that im fine with letting 24v of electricty hit my feet all at once... it's not painful at all.
