I'm pregnant!!! 8O :D 8O I can't believe it still..it seems so surreal. I am happy, my hubby is happy, but I'm also quite terrified!! Its such a huge responsibility and w/SP its going to be quite a challenge..one I'm allready having to deal with..I went to the doctor w/my friend and it was just for the test but I was so freaked out..next week I have to go in for bloodwork..and other stuff.. :? 8O
I'm having a hard time sleeping..I'm trying not to get ahead of myself, and take it one day at a time, but this is so HUGE and life changing!!
Any advice from anyone will be much appreciated. For those of you who do so, please pray for baby and me, for the rest any suggestions? Maybe from those of you who are parents w/SP? Thanks in advance! :D YAY! I can't believe it!!! :D

Hi Mary ,congrats. You can email me if you want, as i have a 15 month old daughter, and now what it's like to be a dad with sp.
It may be hard sometimes, but i wouldn't change having my daughter for anything.

hey Mary, regarding the SP thing, I think you'll have the strength and courage to get through whatever comes your way. i think your instincts will kick in and it won't be as bad as you think.

this may sound so trivial but i'm always afraid that when my kid comes along, they'll throw all kind of tantrums in the grocery store, or the mall, etc. but i've started working at a daycare and it doesn't really bother me anymore. but you may not even be refering to that. all in all like i said before, i think you'll be just fine.

hi mary, congratulations! I can't speak from experience but they say having a child can be one of the most enlightening, spiritual and happy experiences you can have in life so there's that to look forward to!

plus, I just wanted to say that I believe God uses all circumstances for the good and he has a plan for all of our lives so if having a child does challenge you, social anxiety wise, it might be a good thing.

god'll be with you all the way.

Congratulations!!! I think that's so great, you'll do fine with the whole SA thing having a baby, it might even help you come out of your shell more. This is great news!

Thank you so much everybody!!! You all really do encourage me so much! I know it will be hard but it is also a great blessing too. :D
Chilling_echo: I wasn't even thinking about the tantrums thing before.. 8O :lol: Just kidding, I'm not worried about that side of it too much. Right now I'm more worried about going to the doctor's so much and the things the doctor will be doing to me, also the actual labor! 8O That's a bit scary.. 8O
But I also think it will be good for me and force me to get out more. I just hope I can be a good mom! But I know I will try my absolute best!

Hey Mary, that's fantastic news! I'm so happy for you. I'm sure it's pretty scary (I know I'd be freaking out) but I'll tell you something my mother always tells me when I need some reassurance. God will never give you any more than you can handle. That way you know you'll always cope :)

Oh Mary...I understand perfectly well that you are worried and probably have tons of thoughts and questions running through your brains right now. I don't have a child myself, which you of course know, but one question I know for certain is that you will be a very good mum!! :D

I'm so HAPPY for you Mary!!! :D :D :D

Congrats Mary!!! I'm sure you'll see things in a new light thru the baby's eyes and learn a lot about yourself along the way.

ok seriously, labor scares me ALOT - voluntary C-section right here baby!! and prayin that sucker doesn't come out soon

Thanks again everybody, you know you guys have reacted better than my own family.. :( Sad but true, but I appreciate all the support. Thank you it means so much!!! Big hug ((((((((((EVERYONE))))))))))))) :D
Oh and I also got a paper that tells me of the baby's progress week by week. I am 5 weeks now and the baby's heart, brain, and skeleton are beginning to form allready! 8O Wow that seems fast! :D

Wow,congratulations Mary! I'll pray for you but I'm sure that everything will be great,you will be a perfect mother! God is with you and the child is lucky,as you and your husband will show the way of the Lord to your little angel. I'm giving you a useful opinion: Among the others,pray for your child to be calm. I'm 15 years older than my brother,so when my mother was pregnant,I used to pray for a beautiful,clever child,but I hadn't thought for a calm child,so when he was born he was beautiful,clever and a monster!

I had my first visit to the doctor today! I was pretty nervous.. :oops: 8O but it went really good. The doctor was nice and I got to see my baby for the first time! They gave me a little picture to take home..he/she looks like a little bean! :lol: But it almost made me cry! I didn't think I would get so emotional but seeing the picture made it all seem so real..I guess I have kind of been in shock these past days. Oh and the baby is 8 weeks allready not 5 like we had thought! 8O But the best part was when the doctor said the words I am sure every parent wants to hear, "The baby looks perfect!" Thank you God! :D :D :D :D :D
