How are you feeling?

So, I just thought I'd check in here.

Am daein awrite. 😁

I enjoyed my uncle's visit last week. It's actually been 10 years since he was last up to visit. It was nice to see him, he's looking well, despite his recent fall.

Though, when I was saying bye to him, he said he'd see me again.

I'm guessing he'll be back up to visit again in June, which is what my cousin was going to do after my uncle injured his hip at start of March. But my uncle was determined to still come and visit this month. So, it'll be good to see them again in the summer, if they do come back up to visit.

My uncle brought me up some Lynx deodorant and shower gel, which was nice.

And, there was no awkward reintroduction to my cousin, like last time. Thank feck that my oldest sister was away on holiday. Speaking of, my cousin saw the Fender guitar neck and before he realised it was for Stratocaster, he said I should5 get a Telecaster guitar body for it. 😆 And he seemed quite impressed by Fender Squier Precision Jazz bass guitar.
I'm so happy you're doing alright! And that you enjoyed your uncle's visit! :)

Well, it's my birthday. Yay! 🎂

That's me another year older. Mid-30s. Still as grumpy n' dour-faced as ever. 😆😄

Feels weird to look back on my teenage years now, when I was almost constantly being told that I looked older than my actual age.

Happy birthday, Graeme!xo

I feel like I am getting sick and I feel mentally and physically exhausted.
Yeah stress can seriously diminish the bodies immune system, sadly.
Are you able to get enough sleep at the moment? Getting enough sleep every night can make such a big difference when having to deal with mental exhaustion. I hope things become a bit easier for you soon.

Thanks Blue 💙 I haven’t been sleeping well that’s true and I really need sleep to feel good. I have been able to nap off and on while does help but it’s not the good REM sleep that is required. Also my one kitty has been having bad allergic fits and it’s really hard to watch him cough and suffer. Luckily he’s doing better today. Makes me wish I would have stayed with my dream of being a veterinarian at times like this.

What happened on your birthday?
I didn't feel like going out to celebrate, so just had a quiet day. Relaxed and watched some of my favourite movies.
What's up now?
Just trying to get the storage room tidied out, so I can measure how much space the electronic drum kit I'm looking to get will take up.
What went on during your uncle's visit?
Not much, really. Aside from chatting about my tattoos – which led to discussion about the tattoos in general – we just talked about what was going on in the news and what was happening in the football (how certain teams were doing). And the 3 of us – my uncle, mum and I – just watched the football games that were on that week.

Oh, and my cousin and his girlfriend – who drove my uncle up from London – paid a visit midweek. And my nieces and sister popped round to see my uncle.

That's great, Graeme! Glad you had a good time! I hope you get your storage room tidied out soon so you can get your electronic drum kit there! :)

I don't think tattoos are good for you as what if you don't want them anymore or you want something else on your arm or back or something but if you're sure you'd like them forever then that's more like it. Where do you have them? What kind of tattoo is it? What does it say on it if anything? I'm glad your cousin and nieces and sister got to see you and your uncle too.

Not doing particularly great, to be honest.

Tired of constantly having to plaster on a fake smile and pretend everything is fine. Equally tired of the fact that I'm the person in my immediate family who's never allowed to speak my mind. Oh, and ah found out yesterday that my sister - the oldest of my 2 siblings - has been talking shit about me behind my back. So, needless to say, ah didnae really get much sleep last night.

Ah wish ah didnae let shit folk say about me get to me so much. But then ah suppose that lasting impact o' being bullied for most o' my life.

I suppose should end this on a happier note. I enjoyed the concert I went to last month. And my cousin and uncle are coming back up from London to visit my mum and me next month. I only got told recently by my mum who'd forgotten to say that my uncle decided to visit again within days of getting back to London.

I totally get your perspective there, Lily. In the case of not wanting them, they'd need to be laser removed. And I was wanting something else in place of a tattoo I've already, depending upon the size of it, the tattoo might be able to be covered with another one being tattooed over it. If not, then it would need to be laser removed before getting something else done.
but if you're sure you'd like them forever then that's more like it.
Yeah, I think I will. I mean, the tattoo artist who does them for me is really good. And they're also a family friend, so I'm not getting ripped off, price-wise. It'd be a different story if I was getting them done by someone who wasn't a particularly good tattoo artist, though.

Most of the tattoos are on my right arm.

I've got a tattoo that's representative of the Zodiac sign Aries on my inner right forearm. On my same outer forearm, I've got a Scottish Saltire flag that was drawn free-hand with a blue marker pen and designed in a way as to look like it's under my skin.

On my right shoulder, I have a tattoo that is a reference to the Star Wars movies, which I got mainly because I'm a fan of those films. And because those movies were a big part of my childhood. I still vividly remember I got the Star Wars trilogy on VHS tape for Christmas in 1998, and the following year during the summer my mum and I binge-watched those films for like 2 months straight, every weekend.

Oh! And a couple of tattoos on the fingers of my right and left hand - just some random musical notation symbol.

Getting a bit fed up with my mum constantly ranting to me about how my sisters treat her. Just because it's the same ol' story over n' over.

Ah mean, ah get why I'm being telt. Because I'm treated much the same by them, so can relate. Except I don't apologise whenever I pluck up the guts to call them out on how they act.

Ah just wish she'd do as I keep saying and treat them like ah used to get treated; minus the threat or infliction of physical abuse. They'll soon change their tune. I'm getting just as sick of my sisters wandering in the house and acting as if it's theirs.

Or, in the case of the middle sibling, acting like she still lives with us. And, yesterday, she stormed oot the hoose in a huff, just because our mum informed her, as soon as she came in, that my clothes were in the living room and I would just be coming through from getting a shower to get changed. That was it, and that was enough to set her off into a rage... 🤦‍♂️🤨🤷‍♂️

I'm sorry to hear about the drama that's going on in your life, Graeme. I hope things get better for you.
@MollyBeGood, congratulations!
I have just had a really nice day out. I wish everyday was like this. I need to start cooking and cleaning more but so far, it just seems like my medication still gives me a lack of motivation! I hope days like this will be over with in the future when I get off all of my medications gradually as soon as possible.

Glad you enjoyed the concert you went to last month, Graeme! on a positive note! And I'm glad to hear that your cousin and uncle are coming back up from London to visit you and your mom next month. Next month I will be going out with my dad for Father's day. I hope we'll have a nice time.
Oh, I didn't know they could be removed once you get them, thanks for the info. That's great, the tattoo artist who does it for you is really good and that you seem to have tattoos that reflect an important part of your life. :)
