Post your random thoughts/feelings etc

I can live with the new changes. Putting all the actual anxiety thread at the top of the homepage was a rather good move I think. The anonymous front page posts and odd time stamps are a bit odd, though.

I guess the anonymous posts are for the sake of preventing member favouritism, and puts the thread (and therefore thread subject) in the spotlight. As in;

Instead of: ''Oh, a member I like, I'm going to read what he/she wrote'' now ''Oh, that thread I liked, let's see what new responses there are to the subject''.

The time stamps is a bit odd, though. It would've been nicer if it was displayed as;

With different timezones in effect, the current timestamps is handy, but for older posts it's rather inaccurate.

Yeah, I'd like that, too. Although I'll get used to whatever changes come into play.

Good points.
It seems over simplified to me though now ;/

I honestly was motivated to view a thread depending on the last poster.
Is that so horrible?
I like all the people i've come into contact here and get excited when I see them post. Always read the past posts too, but that little spark of "oh, this person posted!" was actually a big part of the energy of this forum. I feel blind now o_o

Everything was just fine the way it was. Not perfect, perhaps, but fine. Very comfortable. Now the front page is much too wide. It doesn't fit. Now time is relative. OCD: I need a date, an hour, a minute. Relative is much too vague. It stinks of Facebook, and all that slithers down that path. Frantic smilies jumping, laughing, licking lewdly at my screen. There's no [ESCAPE]—not for me. No more comfort. Change is not always good.

(There should be an emoticon for this, too.)

I'm not really feelin' the new site either. I like the fact that off-topic threads now show up on the main page. I like the emoticons. But not showing who made the last post is pointless. Other forums do. And the timestamps are just dumb. Aside from it being hard to get used to, they'll never be accurate. The "2 minutes ago," or "37 minutes ago" or whatever will only be as of the moment you open or refresh the page. Now if you open a thread and it takes 10 minutes to get to the bottom of the page, it might say that reply was posted 7 minutes ago, which is impossible if you haven't refreshed the page in that time.:kickingmyself: Also, I don't like reading further back and seeing "5 days ago" or "3 weeks ago." I don't want to have to think about when it was posted. I like seeing a date. And a time.:thumbdown:

And what's with the emoticons changing everyday? First, some of the old ones were banished to a do not use list. Then they were reinstated. Now there are new versions of them.

On a related note, I was disappointed when we couldn't chose an icon for a post/thread anymore. Seems like features get taken away from this site more often than added.
