I have a general question I need to ask, and do feel free to answer freely and honestly (in a private message if you prefer).

In your personal experience, do I come across too controversial and/or ''too-much-information''-ey? I don't feel like I do, but I often get the feeling people think that. I'm not heroically great at analysing my own behaviour in that regard.

If you do think that, I'd like to know. I wouldn't be mad. It's like with body odour, I'd rather know about it then socially stink up the place.

No on the controversial part. You are far from controversial compared to people in real life who are plain whacky. You're not that, far from. You're the sweet kind of Puma, that can make a decent conversation out of many things. Including controversial topics, so far from what I've seen on this forum, you're a mature guy.

Yes on the information part, but you're not too "information-ey". I like that intelligence is attractive it's good. I never though he's too controversial or too "information-ey"/ I think you're fine just the way you are.

Ever get the urge to go up to the oppostie sex (who kinda catches your eye) at the store and just start shoving things in your cart then smile at them and say "Sorry, i live alone and I'm single as well so I just have to make sure I get the necessities." I know it's not appropriate but I sooo want to some time just for the fun.
Oh, lord, I could never do that!

Tmi as in too much personal info or too dramatic? Not at all. There is a healthy amount of that one step (not two or three though) above the level that most people will be totally comfortable with though and thats authenticity.. you are that but in a very balanced healthy way that recognizes boundaries in the way that you speak

Apparently there was an earthquake around 7 last night in Maine that could be felt as far as Connecticut and included the Boston area. I didn't feel anything though. Hmm. I read that it was a 4 on the Richter scale, so that's pretty significant.

Not at all man, we've always had nice conversations and I never even thought of that :)

I'm so annoyed right now. First off, this semester almost all my classes have been filled with group assignments. Now, of course this hasn't been easy for me, having to meet people frequently and discuss, sometimes even debate on stuff. Plus the oral presentations... god I hate those. But no, now, on top of all that, my teammates for one huge project we're doing decided to be lazy and not do their share of the work. I mean, come on... can't I just work alone and not have to go through all this ****.

The thing that really depresses is that, if I keep my grades up through this semester, I'm going to be elligible for a 2,000$ scholarship, which I really need, but I don't see myself getting good grades when all the evaluations are basically me trying to carry some lazy people who don't even seem to want to be there..

I agree. That never crossed my mind, not even remotely.

Thank you all for replying, it helps analyze things I can't do without outside perspective. It was starting to nibble on my mind a little bit. So yeah, thanks. ;3

^ I know I'm a little late on this, but I don't think you come across either way at all, Puma.

I think I like someone just because I like the idea of having a boyfriend. I'm scared there won't be another guy who will like me and that if I don't like this guy I won't ever find anyone. I've already been single for 4 years because of my anxiety. I don't want to be single anymore. But I'm not attracted to this guy.

It is him. Something happened between us and he's acting different. Like he doesn't like me much anymore. And it hurts because I want a boyfriend so badly but at the same time I don't like him. I don't want to end it but it looks like I'm going to have to. Great.
^ Really sorry to hear about this, kristina. I get where you're coming from though. I've never had a boyfriend, but I've been asked out before a couple times in the past. The last time, which was 3 or 4 years ago, was by a guy friend. He liked me, but I didn't like him. Great guy, awesome friend, but I just wasn't attracted. I know men hate being "friend zoned," but what you have to think about is what exactly is fair? Carrying a relationship with someone you have no attraction to, just to have the benefit of a boyfriend, or not carrying out one at all even though you're afraid of still remaining single? There are times where I wish I would've said yes, just to experience dating and having a boyfriend. But honestly, I didn't think it would be fair to either of us. The way I look at it is you can't really experience the full aspects of a relationship if both people don't feel the same way. I would rather remain single, as much as I don't like it sometimes, then be in a relationship where I didn't feel the same way as someone else.

Anyway, that's just my advice/little experience. I know being single sometimes sucks, but we need to learn to enjoy it. Don't worry, you'll find other guys again. Like Mikey said, you're very sweet and caring. :)

Wow, I know I bag on it a lot, by my ex is such a complete douche. Moments earlier we were talking about the The Walking Dead season 3 premier, and he flat out said ''Prisoners are only good for dying.'' and he was dead serious too. Not just the fictional characters, actual prisoners too. And now he's whining about how he's alone all day. And get this, it's apparently everyone's fault but his.

I told him to make good use of that time by doing some dishes, cleaning his room, whatever. To which is he just simply responded ''No, I can't''. Whining about not being able to spend the whole day with others seem a luxury problem to me. Annoyance I get, but not something to actually get, legitimately, mad about. Like rantingly mad.

I kinda wish I knew more people on a personal bases, so I wouldn't have to put up with poisonous people like him for a fraction of social interaction. He's one of those people that takes so much more then he gives, and THEN, to add insult to injury, act like the victim of everything.

Ho-ly. Stool.

So now you ask yourself: what's better, talking to him because you don't know many people on a personal level and continue putting up with his idiocy, or drop him like a wet towel and be free of him, but have less of a circle?

Let me answer that one for you: take option 2. You will have less people to chat to, sure, but that won't be forever. You'll meet other people. Better people.

I think, for the first time in my life, i have finally given up hope that things can ever get better.

I'm sorry Planemo.

Throw that thing out, so better can come back. It's cock blocking your opportunities.
I'm sorry Puma, I know how you feel though.

I'm currently reducing interaction with him to the bare minimum. Like once a week, if that. Which is fairly easy since the only thing I have to do is not log in to Steam or Skype visibly.

I've become rather bland with him. Being nice and considerate is only when he actually makes a effort to do the same.

It's okay, it's just excruciatingly annoying sometimes. People like that are just unbelievable. Whenever he's unbearable I make it bearable by not being there (offline). ;3

Bare minimum is good, mate. I hope you're able to keep it at that level. You're too cool to have to deal with his immaturity. :)

Tomorrow, some friends and I will go to a gaming fair. It's about board and card games, and it's huuuuuuuuge. Like about 200.000 visitors, and companies and people showing their new board and card games are coming from all over the world.

(this photo shows a small part of dozens and dozens of large halls full of people playing board games, card games, role playing games and whatnot)

We took a day off for that, will meet in the morning at the train station, take the train there. I'll bake some brownies this evening, another friend makes some burgers in the morning, another one probably pancakes and so on. And then we will spend the day there, meeting other friends, trying new board games, buying them for reduces prices and so on.

That will be fun. :)

I bike quite a distance to work each day, along the river. Made a photo today and yesterday, on the way to work, trying out my mobile phone camera.

This photo I took yesterday morning:

A board gamer's heaven! That would be fun indeed and I'm sure you'll find some great board games you could try out. :)
