What do you guys think of this? Skynet coming true? Is it all a good thing? Or will it be the end of mankind? Will they supersede us?
I think the same thing generally will happen with robots, as it happened to the Internet. There'll be both good and bad aspects, but overall "balancing out" so that our quality of life will stay exactly the same.

The fact is, certain people would be better off dead. But the modern world doesn't cater for their needs, but instead tries to prolong the agony/misery by various means, thinking it's a "good" thing.

^ Exactly.
It's the old argument - that no one seems to address - they put animals "out of their misery" .....because they say "it's the humane thing to do". But no, humans have to suffer until they die of natural causes.

Why is it, everytime I try to have empathy towards another person who seems to be in a similar situation, they push me away? Maybe I really the nasty piece o' work my mum always told I was, huh? Don't think I'll bother in future, just keep to masel'. :idontknow:

People in tough situations tend to be vulnerable and potentially defensive, I wouldn't take it to mean anything about yourself. I know out of personal experience that when I'm having a particularly bad time in my life, everyone and everything is grating.

Maybe you could say 'well when you're 65 and you fall over and break your hip from a lack of bone density, don't come crying to me'.. :perfect:

Well Pug, I finally got tell my mum just this. Now, don't ask how she managed it, ah still can't get ma head to comprehend it. My mum, pushy as she is, insisted on rubbing cream that helps with dry skin on ma eyebrows this morning, right? Preferring to use her fingertips, instead of a cotton bud. Nearly poking my eyes out in the process, due to her long fingernails.

Well, I just suggest that she maybe cut them? Much to her annoying at such advice. Then later in the afternoon, she comes into ma bedroom to make my bed. Ah didnae want argue another argument, so I let her process. And in the middle of tucking the sheets in, she breaks off half the fingernail from her right index finger. Thankfully it wasn't serious or anything like that.

But, still, ah huv tae laugh at how often she dismissing my advice. While say I tend to be sensible one of the family. :giggle:

Been about a week since I started feeling sick. Most of the aching is gone, but this cough just won't go.

First time sick living away from home. Feels like milestone of some kind. It's like, "Congratulations, you got sick without Mom by your side." Of course, I've been getting plenty of help from her online, so...But she's not physically here so it counts!

How can ALL the shopping centers and commercial streets be jampacked all the time during business hours? Is that all people do with their lives or are we just too many?

Don't believe anything you read or see on the internet. The level of fakeness from people is beyond anything we have ever experienced.
Case in Point-this current job I am at looked like a beautiful farm with intelligent, and caring people running it, to find out even a war combat vet employed here said it the worst he has ever seen.

I feel this is an apt description of why some people take a dislike to me, especially my family. Since I barely hide my anxieties and the sadden that weights me down.

It's a quote from bruce springsteen's book, referring to his father. And that's also how i've felt about my father & his temperament.

Oh! Well, ma dad had that intimidating demeanour about him, at least that's how I felt about him. Though, ah think my height and size is more the reason folk are scared shitless of me.

Something funny & witty from a couple weeks back.
I was having my toe re-bandaged after surgery (had ingrown toenail & infection for couple years). The 2 nurses were both from the Philippines (as i'd asked them separately before). The younger one was doing the dressing, and about to put a wrap-around bandage over everything. The older one said 'go for gold'. I was reading a national geographic magazine i'd brought with me, and right then one of the words in the sentence i was reading was "victory". So once she'd done it, i blurted out 'victory!' (like getting a gold medal). And then the older one said 'two Filipinos' (implying that i was lucky to be having 2 Filipino ladies tending to me alone in a room with them?). I should have replied with sth like 'in my dreams'! :giggle:
