^ ah that would be a bummer to be without an ikea. have you ever been in one? it's too bad they don't sell online but i guess the cost of shipping becomes problematic as it would probably outweigh the cost of the item.

i poked the "buy online" button next to the desk

it says they'll send it to me if i give them $10

^ Awesome desk! I looooove IKEA, ever since my cousin took me over the summer. I so wish there was one near me. Sadly, like coyote, the closest IKEA is about 250 miles away too.

That might be a good thing though. I could easily spend all my money there.

You poor buggers.. I literally have one of those massive complexes within walking distance. It's maybe 10-15 minutes walking distance. ::p:

I don't know, I don't think carrying a glass desk on my bicycle binder across continents is a fruit baring course of action.

Maybe if I could obtain a trebuchet and some bubble wrap..
A trebuchet with intercontinental capabilities? Oh, I approve of this! Indeed sir, you should begin construction of this device immediately.

Anyone else see that post on Yahoo about the annoying female voice thing? The "vocal fry" it's called. haha

I agree, that particular vocal trait is annoying, but Yahoo is always posting articles about what is wrong with you, and I noticed most of them have to do with women. I have enough to worry about - not going to become preoccupied with the way my voice sounds, or which foot I start walking on when I go out the door or whatever. silly silly silly

I saw a girl on Facebook who has 4,986 "friends"...

How is that even feasible? She must have just added everyone and their mothers!

I think I'm going to buy a keyboard with back lit keys. I can't see the keys on this current keyboard without natural outdoor lighting. Making finding Ctrl+Z or Ctrl+C tricky at night without starring at them like a mole.

Ctrl+C / Ctrl+V are like mapped to my brain with how much I use them...

Me too, if the keyboard is in a correct position. But it's far to my side, and depending on how I sit in my chair, reaching the buttons is a totally different arm/hand movement every time. And at night the keyboard is like a black slab.

I tried panting the keys I use most to find them easier in the dark.. .. But then I realized that you can't actually see blue on black keys in low lighting.
