Direct translation from the japanese original; Latin American dubs of anime used to be that way, not-so-much nowadays, sadly enough...
However, despite using the japanese dialogue, music and all, it used the american names, because the toys were sold here were the same as the american toys.
On a completely unrelated note, today I went to store buy some soda and the newspaper, and in the candy aisle I found THIS:
AWW YEAH, THE SWORD OF OMENS!
The Eye of Thundera lights up too. Haven't tried the candy inside, tho.
