Panic attacks and anxiety after bad LSD trip

Hey

I did alot of MDMA in the past. I have only tried acid 3 times and twice lost my mind completely. During both the bad trips I felt a fear and panic like never befor (I have never sufferred from panic and anxiety), however for a month now everday I have had the same panic and fear feelings.

I told my Doc everything and he put me on cipralex 5mg for 7 days and then 10mg for another week together with xanor 0.250 3 times a day. I felt real bad side effects.

I feel slightly better but still have the fear and panic even with the xanor and my Doc told me to take 15mg Cipralex a day.

Although the meds seem to be working my mind is doing its own thing, very scary thoughts which i cannot control, thoughts similar to when you take LSD.

Its a very hard thing to explain similar to explaining the colour red to a blind person, it does not make sence.

I really hope someone knows what Im talking about and can tell me im not going completely crazy.

I know its gonna take time but when Im in this state of mind I just dont know.

Hope someone has done lsd and know what im talking about

Please help
Danko

Hi Danko,

I couldn't go past your thread without replying. I took an LSD trip some 15 years ago now and suffered with terrible anxiety for the following year. I was very young at the time and no proper diagnosis was made and therefore no treatment given.

My theory would be that the lsd is still in your system and that once it weakens or leaves altogether you will find the anxiety subsides. If you've been honest with your doctor and he recommends you take the cipralex, keep going with it.

I hope you feel better soon :(

I've developed what I feel is a severe anxiety/panic problem that first appeared after a bad mushroom trip. The mushrooms were cheaply purchased at an inopportune time of year -thus they were possibly laced with LSD. I had never experienced any significant feelings of anxiety prior to the bad trip (a terrible and horrifying experience), but the 4 years since have been marked by an escalating anxiety problem -it was intially pretty bad, then got better, but has since gotten progressively worse.

Who knows if the mushrooms are responsible, but I can't help but link the experience with my perpetuating anxiety problem. In other words, I feel ya, man... :(

hate to say it but i think my anxiety / panic stemmed from use of ecstasy, first being tried in like 10th grade. all began a few months after the use of it.

Common response to psychedelics. The worst thing about LSD is that you're once again, out of control and under total influence of the drug in your synapses.

Funny that someone as calm as a yogi was able to take like 10X the amount the beatles took when they were in India and he didn't even catch a buzz. All about discipline and control.
