Hi iv been reading over the forum for some time now,

my problem isnt anywhere near as bad as some hear and i do feel you you guys.

Basically i have Axillary hyperhidrosis, its not a huge problem but it does affect what i can ware etc.

Basically i will just sweat for no reason, i can be sitting down watching TV, or be at Uni doing work or watching a film, and i sweat from my under arms.

Never had head, hands etc.

I was wondering if there is a possibility that it can devlop in other areas, (hopfully not), can using products like Drysol or sommin spark HH in other areas?

i tried the sprays like SURE and right guard, loada rubbish,

iv currently been using Mitchum after doctor recomendation. All i can say its hit and miss, sometimes it works , other times it doesnt lol, also wierdly i sweat more from my left then right. Somtimes id only sweat from my left and nothing on right.

Its really random and annoying, can anybody recomend a next step. is there a kinda role on / spray that my body wnt develop a reistance to or any other tips would be a big help.

as i said i know its not as bad as others on this forum, i mean wearing 2-3 t-shirts normally solves it but any help will be much appriciated :)

Hi, Welcome to the forum.

I never noticed if Drysol caused sweating elsewhere when I used it.

None of the Mitchum type deo ever worked for me (smell not an issue, just the wetness) so I was using Drysol on special occasions when I needed to not sweat too much (I couldn't use it all the time because it irritated my underarms very much so I had to be selective). Here in the US, there is something I found on the shelf similar to Drysol called Certain-Dri. It has the same idea maybe a slightly smaller percentage of A.c. If you use either one of these you do it at night and don't wear any clothing to bed that it will discolor, one time with Certain-Dri it bleached a shirt so I only wear a white T-Shirts when I used them.

I've had axillary Botox so if it works as planned, I don't have to use these, just regular deo until it eventually wears off.

Good luck!

I tried sommin called Pespirex other day, it worked, but it works in same way by blocking the pours.

i mean it did work but i read it wares off and blocking up the pours isnt really the soloution , like you i plan to use on special occasions.

i read the roles on are seseptable to body building resistance, is this the same case for sprays? i hear Obadan is good, iv never used.

same as you smell isnt an issue, just wetness, and for a bizar reason maily from the left, right gnerally is ok.

i was wondering can sommin like blood circulation play a part, somtimes i find my feet and hands are colder then rest of body, which i read can be linked with poor blood circulation, im not overweight or anything but i could do some more sports i guess.

also how do you apply the certain dri how much do you put on?

i also found eating fruits in the morning seems to reduced my sweating, i eat a banana and tangerine lol, good old fruit.

I'm exactly the same as you, except I have it very mildly on my hands (which doesn't bother me).

I find the anti-perspirants to be far too painful, so I'm going for retrodermanl curettage next April. If that works, I'll be bloody chuffed.

Sorry, typo on my part, its 'retrodermal curettage'.

Basically involves a Doc scraping out the sweatglands in the armpit. They cut a whole in your pit, scrape out the glands, and you leave about two hours after entering. Good stuff. Only problem is there's not a lot of testimonials about it on the interweb, although the ones that do exist seem to say good things.

There are other forms of curettage too, like sucking out the sweat glands with a hoover...

So yeah, theres plenty of non-invasive options. You can even have BOTOX to block up the sweatglands, but that usually has to be repeated once every 6 months.

If you hear about a surgery called ETS - entirely avoid it. Its no good for armpit sweating, and it'll probably result in extreme compensatory sweating on other parts of the body (and I mean extreme).

interesting, is that curettage thing perminant, any side effects

at my stage it seems a bit drastic to go for that.

Nope, no side effects, and it should be permanent.

Its costing me about £1k for the op. I'm getting fed up of trying anti-perspirants, and I'd rather just get rid of the problem altogether, so what the hell!

i would recommend botox as next thing to try ...defo good option ...
.....

kingflab - interesting to hear you going for the curretage

Ive just had 2nd vaser surgery done in London for underarms yesterday after the 1st time didnt work ...surgeon said theyve had to do it twice on quite few peeps so will let you know how get on...Im hoping will work...vaser does cost alot more then curretage and lipo (cost me £2500) but is less scare and supposed to be more accurate

wondering which surgeon you looking at going with for the curretage and where based ?
interesting u going for curretage i was going to go for Lipo in Germany if I didnt get the Vaser ...is £1900 but meant to be better then curretage

youre right about there not being much on the net about how people have got on with the surgery...bit rubbish but as ya say the people I have come accross all seem to have been successful
