Hey chav,

Wanting to be in love with someone for a reason such as not feeling lonely may not improve your self-esteem. Love can come in many forms e.g. trust, lust, selfish, greed, so be careful when wishing for love.

I’ve just came out of a dangerous love and I feel more lonely than I’ve ever have, although I do wish and hope you find what your looking for.

Love just-Jonny

I think that is the case of "will a relationship cure my SA"

something I've found hasnt in any way shape or form, its helped make it worse in some ways, best to get better and then try, when that will be ...who knows????

masking is ok to a point but then we avoid (yes.... avoidance) who we really are, issues cant be solved when wearing masks, you have to find your true self and get better as that person, this is no mean feat and the hardest thing for any of us to do, I'm nowhere near 100% but have come along way from where I used to be, I've been honest about myself to my freinds too, that I think helped, even though it takes along time for them to get it after explaining so much, I think once we talk about it and are accepted, then thats one of the first steps to being abit more "normal"

A very old cliche, but one that seems to have more defenition for me as time goes on. You have to love yourself in order to love someone else. Also...its not for someone else to sort out your issues. :D

well said!

I feel your pain.... Although I have never had a g/f in my 40+ years of living on this rock... I too have never experienced "love" from a partner. Some things that take the "sting" out of being lonely are: having pets, parents, siblings, niece or nephew's... I love my niece and nephew, and when they see me they come running with outstretched arms. They wrap their arms around me, and allot of times that brings tears to my eyes, because it feels wonderful to be loved like that.

Hey chav, u r only 13, don't worry u'll find some1 lata...i believe u r too young to be in real love...
I'm not tryin to lecture or advise u, but at that age guys usually take advantage of girls and dump em later and the girl just feels it's real and then is devastated...

how is it that people find flings on the internet in the first place?

And at 13 jeez, how is that possible?

I'm starting to think love doesn't even exist. I either get too involved and get myself burned and ****ed up because she's out of my league and wants to play (head)games with me, or else she's too into me and I get bored and sick of her insecurity and jealousy. It's like when I care too much, I get screwed over, and if I don't care enough, I get tired of her neediness. I can't win.

I think true love does exist, just not as often as society and others would have you believe.

I think people aren't in love most of the time, they just force it.

What I mean is a lot of people marry out of fear of being alone. They go for not the best person, but the best person, right now.

People just have trouble being alone and will most of the time force themselves into marriage, just cause they're tiring of looking or aren't able to get themselves out of a stale relationship.

Even though I'm 30 and divorced, I think I've never actually been in love. With my ex-husband, I'm convinced now that I was just in love with the idea of love, not with him. And I haven't had any relationships (serious or otherwise) before or since.

And I don't know if the op still comes around (I doubt it), I know you would be probably 16/17 by now, but that's still a little too young to be that worried about love (romantic love at least). I would say that relieving loneliness is not a good reason to get into a serious relationship- at least that shouldn't be the sole motivator. I would say if you're lonely you should look to making friends before relying on a romantic involvement to alleviate your loneliness.

well there are 2 different kinds of love. the love that you have for your brother sister, mom, good friend, etc.

it's an unconditional, and lasting fealty for one another.

then there is the love, which is the same kind of love as the above, only there's sex involved.

some also like to think of it as being, non promiscuous. Some think of it as monogamous, and lasting a long time, if not for life.

soem think love is an unrealistic thing, or something "magickal". I don't think it's "magickal" at all. I think it does exist, and is normal but can only exists in environments that SUPPORT it and support life.

I am absolutely against "txt-spk", but I feel an irresistibly intense urge to say: "lol 13 lol fling ... lmao bfs". Forgive me.
