Natural oils are about the least effective when compared to these other naturally occurring anxiety remedies.

1) Kava Kava

It has been used for centuries in the South Pacific as a social beverage, similar to the social aspect of alcohol. It's effects are subtle, yet calming, and can last for a few hours. Be careful not to use too much on a regular basis, or you may find that your skin is turning yellow or your liver is failing. However, used in small quantities on a regular basis to fight anxiety this remedy is definitely worth a try.

2) Passionflower

Have you ever taken any of those dietary supplements that are supposed to soothe stress or anxiety? Many of them contain passionflower, a plant that soothes anxiety. I don't really have much experience with this remedy but a lot of people here at SPW have found that passionflower works great.

3) Valerian

Valerian is also commonly found in herbal dietary supplements that are used to calm anxiety. It's effect can be compared to that of benzodiazepines (xanax, valium, klonopin, ativan, etc.), but it is much more subtle. Again, I've never tried this remedy, so give it a shot and see what you think. Many people have found it helpful.

If you know of any other natural remedies for anxiety post them here and try to knock the annoying essential oils woman off of this forum with your knowledge of remedies that work better than her aromatherapy:p

I'm not an expert, but I would say no.

I don't think it's wise to take multiple supplements, simultaneously, for the same symptons.

Like SilentType has stated, you need to be careful with kava kava (although I found this to be the most effective herbal remedy).
