Mindfulness

I have found a lot of peace from this and meditation. Not identifying with my thoughts and observing them has helped me realize how ridiculous some of my thoughts can be. It is also interesting to notice the pattern of fears that present themselves in my head.

I have tried mindfulness. To me, in addition to accepting yourself, it is also about accepting your feelings, not trying to direct them and letting them unfold by themselves.

I do find mindfulness challenging. I am so uncomfortable with myself and my feelings that I habitually try to think my way out of my situation. I appreciate that thoughts are residue of stress. The challenge is to be aware of one's thoughts but not hold onto them.

I've been practising this for a long time, both in meditation and in daily life. It enables me to accept how I'm feeling enough to work out what's driving it. It does bring peace of mind.

i find it very beneficial to my emotional well-being to get out my own head (and the endless stream of negative self-talk) and be fully present in the here and now - not thinking, not evaluating, not anticipating, not calculating

mindfulness is a great tool in doing this

I am trying mindfulness meditation, I am so glad that I discovered it and it works for me. It helps me to stop worrying about everything.

But is is difficult to do sometimes, to accept the bad things in life.

Mindfulness has helped me a lot. To anyone who has trouble with it, remember that it's about accepting your thoughts no matter how negative or bizarre..they're just thoughts.

The meditations on youtube are ok but you might find the ones on the sight below more informative and helpful.

I would suggest start with the thought labeling meditation.
