  • yes ALOT of patience. I been in taekwondo for a year now and my confidence is at a all time high but its hard work. I follow a little MMA. BJ Penn is my favorite fighter. As far as my writing goes I write poetry relating to world events (politics, money, pop culture) and life situations that everyone can relate too (love, hard work, pain, sex, triumph, religion etc.). I try to stay away from the sappy "oh life is so terrible, my girlfriend left me" sort of stuff ya know lol. What about you? What are you into bro?
Also, I use last.fm to collect my music :] And you know I'm jk about the alligator wrestling thing. I wouldn't even go near one. Well, I hope your Christmas was fun... mine was ok... same old traditional stuff except without a tree. I will make next year's Christmas a more memorable one :D
It sounds like you love your mom very much. I hope she finds the peace that she needs. I feel the same way about my grandma as well (she took care of me). I went through hell living with her while growing up, but I've forgiven her for it.
So yeah, we do have a lot in common... but how could you not love Xena! I watched it when I was younger, so the cheesiness didn't bother me too much. At the time, I thought she was the ultimate badass. I never saw The Sopranos, but I'll check it out if I'm craving for another TV series. I actually don't watch much TV nowadays.

It's also nice to see someone else with a broad music taste... I still love Pink Floyd, Metallica, Bowie, etc... but I remember when that was all I listened to. There's a lot of hidden gems out there... I have a song to soothe every mood now :D Do you listen to any online radio stations?

lol... and it's such a rush wrestling with alligators! I remember grabbing one by the tail, swinging it around, and watching it fly. Good times. ;) ;)
Thanks for the kind words. It's such a long story... I thought it all started when I turned 18, but some questionable events before that could probably be seen as "signs" of an underlying problem. I read your story from the beginning to the end, btw... very touching. I can relate as far as walking on eggshells around parents. And alcohol practically replaced water in my family. I was thinking of putting my story down as well, maybe when I get over my paranoia of people I know reading it.
Aww, you're sweet to think that about me :] Thanks...

No, I'm definitely not immune to stress. The anxiety is severe enough that it leaves me housebound most of the time. I wasn't always like this and I do miss some aspects of my "old" life at times. I haven't given up on getting better, though.

So, what do we have in common? If you ever want to add me on FB, you're welcome to. I'm always open to talking to people who understand SA.
