Hey guys!

Ok so I'm trying to organise an SA meet-up for real. Just thought I'd start a poll so we could see some numbers about who would be genuinely interested in meeting up? I think it'd be really good! I mean, I don't think any of us are going to judge each other if it's awkward or anything, we don't have to be embarrassed in front of each other  So I know Galway had been mentioned before, just wondering where people would be interested in meeting up - Galway or Dublin?

Also looking for suggestions about where we could meet up!
I think it'd be brill if a good few of us did this, a challenge, but the good kind :D

i think it a great idea and i hope it works well :)
the last time i was on a ferry to holland i got really scared incase it crashed into ireland on the way!
i realised later though, that ireland was on the other side

Hahaha that made me laugh :D It's ok, we're not that small, you'd probably see ireland before you crashed into it :p
Lol, you must have thought I was saying your username in the title of the thread!! For real!
Thanks for the good luck, hopefully we'll eventually get something sorted out

That's like... Across the ocean. I have $0.73 to my name...

Looks like I won't be going.

I'd like to do something like that but does that mean I'd actually go through with it? Probably not, unfortunately.

What do people do at these meetings? Where do they take place?

Regarding the location, perhaps Athlone - right in the centre of Ireland - could be another option?

Yeah kayelle I think its a good idea, Dublin would be handy for me if I could muster the courage::eek:: Hope it works out!!

Limerick? Tipperary? Cork? Laois?

Theres a few options..

Dub16s idea of two or 3 seperate meetups is pretty good too. We could do a different one each week maybe??

Seperate meet ups would probably be the most convenient for people :)
I voted Dublin.....although it will be tough to actually work up the courage to actually go  meeting strangers and all that :)

make a def date mate .... ill be there i wont be so confident on the day , but be nice to meet a few people on here

Awesome, ok it looks like separate meet-ups for Dublin and Galway is what people would be into. Cooel! What I'll do is on Monday I'll look into what cafes and places to eat and hang out would still be open in the college in Galway in the first week or two of January, when all the students aren't back yet. Then I'll say a date and see if people are into it for a Galway meet-up! Yay, I'm so excited...in a scared way :p But it'll be fine, we'll get lots of tea so we can all just sit around drinking it if we've nothing to say to each other...we are irish after all... :p

I'm slightly tipsy so I may be rambling....But just to be clear I'll have a date on Monday for a meet-up so everyone can agree with it or not then! Cos nothing will be open in the uni til then, but I shall venture in first thing on monday and ask them when they're open...more scariness :p

There's nothing in particular we have to talk about! We could talk about... the budget, or the weather, or tea, the same thing all irish people talk about, lol ::p: You should try and come, it might be awkward, who knows, but who cares if it is! Imagine how great it would be if you succeeded in it, which you would, we're all here to help each other! And if we can help each other recover a bit too, then all the better :D
