---- Makes You Happy to be Alive?

Having just spent the last half hour dancing around my flat to loud music I thought it would be fun to make a list of the various things we encounter that, for once, make us happy to be alive.

Maybe your list is short and full of random stuff which only you find exhilirating but what the heck, I thought it would make for a fun topic.

So here is my list:

*listening to the ocean/being at the beach

*the song Jerk it Out by the Cesears LOUD (its here <--)

*spotting a rare animal/being around wildlife

*adrenaline = rollercoasters, riding my motorbike, even jumping around on my own gives me a kick

*discovering a new abandoned site/building where I can hang out and not be disturbed

Short and sweet. :D

I shall retire to my booze for now, I have to leave the house so it figures.

Great, was meant to be taking my little sister to a careers exhibition in London but I checked through the exhibit list and there was nothing relevant for her (she wants to become a video game graphics artist).

So a no go. More drink and dancing for me then.

Things that make me happy/exhilirated...
listening to loud music. Which kind changes, but.... 'bohemian like you' by dandy warhols...........'Today' by Smashing Pumpkins
and 'Country Roads' by John Denver(must be getting old!....)

Swimming in the sea

Getting up early and seeing the dawn

Seeing a band play live

...but I wonder what jerk it out is implying? Surely not to jerk off? :lol:

A deep converastion, I should've included that one for sure.

Funny how the ocean appears in all our lists. I'm glad it has such healing properties, maybe this would wear off if we actually lived on the coast?

Would you like to join me in a rendition?

Ahhh, so many things, hmmm - for starters;

Flowers;

Sitting on a sheltered park bench in the sunshine on a cool and fresh morning;

Baby animals;

Beautiful scenery - mountains, valleys, waterfalls, etc;

Chocolate;

Intelligent conversations;

Watching butterflys flutter seemingly aimlessly around;

Music, music and more music.

There are quite a few things that make me happy

* Spending time with my boyfriend cuddling

* Hanging about college and chatting to all my mates

* Speaking to friends that I haven't seen in a long time

* Having one of those conversations that make you feel really connected to someone.

* Walking along the street and not feeling afraid

* Dancing... LOTS!

It's odd how many people with SA / depression ect know what makes them happy, but it just seems so unattainable sometimes.
