Looking into people's eyes... making them nervous

A few months ago, I decided I needed to stop being scared of looking people in the eyes when talking to them, so I started to force myself to do it. It's not easy, but I do it anyways. Sometimes I feel like I make people nervous though. I'm not sure if it's just my imagination or if my eye contact is unnatural or something. It's hard for me to tell because after years or looking away, it's unnatural for me to look somone in the eyes. Is it possible I'm making people nervous? How do I improve? It's a hard question to answer, I know. I'm just worried that I'm looking awkward. Uhhh, anyone have any suggestions?

try not to push your limits too much, i know you need to try and psuh yourself into doing it, lookin into people faces or eyes, not to the ground or to the screen. but if you stare to much you will , make people nervous me, because its unnatural.

Try starting slow, look people for a little more each day, don't stare directly in the eyes always , the eyes are essential , but people have faces, mouths noses etc, you may want try looking to the face and then try eye contact.

I think you're probably looking nervous or stiff a bit since you're not used to this. You probably should just keep doing it and you'll get better. Good for you for trying!

Haha, I remember a few people starting to make a sad face when I would try to do this. I think I was probably too stiff and focused on their eyes that it made me seem like a Nazi or cold person. That used to happen some years back. I think it's unnatural if your eyes are hooked on their eyes, as when you are thinking and talking, you usually should have a look like your picturing the contents of the conversation, so your supposed to look like your half daydreaming, not focused on somebody's eyes so much like you want to intimidate them or be a robot.

i rarely look people in the eyes when i talk to them... but i look at a sort of invisible point behind their head... some have said i look through them but oh well... i occasionally bring out eye contact if i want to say something very seriously
