let's go clubbing

hey guys,
well, i don't know about anyone else with social eanxiety, but i am really into the club music. i only wish I could go out and meet people and go to the clubs but i'm waaay to intimidated by the whole scene !! anyone else out there who loves dance music/house??..i'd like to chat 8O

I used to listen to a lot of dance music, used to pretend my room was my personal night club complete with a red light bulb (which also doubled for when I played WW2 computer games and wanted to pretend my room was a submarine

)

dance music is pretty cool, here they have a lot of raves in clearings in the middle of the bush but Ive always been waaaaay too shy to go, besides you only go to those things with friends or you dont have fun from what Ive read in reviews etc, but cool idea though

now I mostly listen to Evanescence and some semi-rock type music

yeah, i listen to alot of trance, ever listen to massive attack? good stuff.

i can't dance but sometimes i feel the need to jsut go in to be a fly on the wall. just to see everything going on, a bunch of strangers. i can blend in and just watch. i haven't gotten up the courage yet htough

bellieve it or not I used to do the same thing !!!! I would blast my music and dance ..alone. very sad..but good exercise :lol:
now that i am seeking treatment, i want to get out more. i have this dream of going abroad to london and going to a clubsince most of the music i like is from the uk. i'm into mostly house music but i really like groups like depeche mode and a lot of 80s rock.

BIG fan of massive attack...they are prob. one of my favorite bands ever. I didn't like their last album though..
it was too quiet for me.

so i went downloading away at some other stuff. i also have other various trance tracks people tell me about. it's hard to know where to start b/c there's so much :?

oh yeah i've seen the show house..my mom is addicted to that show.
the teardrops song goes well with the opening though. i think it's cool ..kinda like a little video.
i first got into them about 5-6 yrs ago (?!?).
but i wasn't really into them i just had an old album because i liked one song. now i have 2 or three of their albums and i think one of the people in the band is pretty cute. i forget his name. anywayz.

if you like massive attatch]k you will probably like a lot of the stuff i am into like Tricky, sneaker pimps..
maybe not all of the "dance" music but the slower stuff is cool...

Club music? Well in general i cant stand the current commercial music scene. Particularly club music. Its not my scene at all.
Every now and then they have those DJ competitions in Melbourne and we go along and they play all the old classics. Like remixing the Stooges! and Stone Roses, Elvis Costello etc. Public Enemy! So its definately worth it for that.

Of course it all depends on where you go. And Live gigs!! are where i prefer to go for a drink! anyway.

I cant stand most clubs. Crap music burning my ears off while asking people to constantly repeat themselves. Blah!

Yeah, carebear, i love house music and clubs too, although I have no one to go to the clubs with, but i did went to clubs and enjoyed it, well, after a few drinks when i got over the anxiety and started enjoying it to the full.

that's great. I haven't been able to find a lot of people. I know people like us are out there but they are just hard to get ahold of.
i haven't heard of that track but if you have a link to it so i can hear what your into that would be cool!... the stuff i am into..mainly djs like seamus haji, joey negro, basement jaxx, the list goes on and on.....
I really like all the house out of the uk at the moment...where are you stationed? 8) 8O

Yea i love UK garage...its sort of dance music..,where i grew up was near romford and it had great clubs and nights out. Now i cant go to big clubs anymore unless i get massivly drunk first and get some dutch courage.

I dont like all that craig david chart garage music...i prefer the underground lesser known stuff.

Ye, Im well a fan of trance and sort of phycadelic energetic music - i love to just let my thoughts drift off to it or dance away like a crazy fool

But when it comes to othger people I dont know - Its strange - I just cannot get away from the thought of ahhhh there watching me dance and then my dance becomes so logical i think about it too much and cannot let go

I say we all get together for a big rave!!!

Yeah I’m thinking of going to a couple of nights in Birmingham and Liverpool (even though I live in manchester) I’ve just signed up to that lonely clubbers website and have posted details there!
