It takes two

Ten minutes of silence. An hour. Two hours. The silence speaks louder than words. No, it roars. Ideas, concerns, suggestions, comments - all worthy of reciprocation, all met with "lol" or "._." or "o.o". A conversation consists of two - two sets of ideas, a genuine discourse. This may as well be conversation with a wall.

To message them or not? As if the silence hasn't made it clear enough. Why bother them? There was silence then, there is silence now. A phenomenon of virulent quality common sooner or later to them all. A phenomenon true to its word, stripping away at effort, slowly but surely.

The land of doubt I tread upon once more.

How fuking annoying. How fuking painful. How fuking stressful.

I can't stand the meaningful meaningless silence. You have a mouth, you have fingers, talk, type. But unfortunately no one will tell you "hey, I don't like you because of this and this, and so I don't feel like talking to you". It would be so efficient, it wastes no one's time or feelings. No... They will all either lie, or just keep "silent", making me paranoid in this damn meaningless meaningful silence.

So I guess I know what you mean.

silence doesn't really bother me. I'm quiet anyways, why would I get upset when someone else is quiet, too?

At worst, it makes me feel boring.

or not having anything to say. or thinking too hard. or finding it easier to be in your own world.

from reading the OP...it sounds to me like, the silence of being ignored.
i've been there too many times...
i know the feeling and he described it very well.

I dont mind either, unless they're being really stuck up about it and gave u looks

Yeah or if you get "talk!" or "why are you so quiet?"

I understand what the OP means though. It's bloody frustrating. It's the same with relationships and most other things with people actually. It has to be reciprocal for things to get anywhere. For things to work. Sometimes, it can feel like you're making all or most of the effort and you don't know whether you should give up or try harder...
