Is SlenderMan real?

The other day, my classmate told me that he saw a 12-feet tall man in the dark, watching him when he was returning home from tuition at night. He said that at first he felt like he was being watched by something. When he looked at a certain area where there were a lot of palm trees, he saw a tall man wearing a black suit. He said that, then he walked as fast as he could and took a lot of turns, many lefts and a few rights just to avoid this tall man. When he reached near his house, he saw that figure again, this time he saw it clearly. He explained this tall man's appearance. He said that this "tall man" had tentacles coming out from its back and it was 12 feet long and wore a black suit, a red tie and had no face. From this, I concluded that my classmate was referring to the myth, SlenderMan.
And this is not the only time someone saw this scary figure. Many people have said that they saw this same figure.. Is SlenderMan real or is it fake?

Don't worry, Slender Man was created during a photo/photoshop contest to make paranormal pictures in 2009. It's quite a recent bit of fiction.

What your friend saw couldn't have been Slender Man.

To the OP, if you take into consideration what people saw or say they saw, there are Slenderman, shadow people, aliens, UFOs, shapeshifting reptilians, ghosts, angels, demons and the genies in islam. I am sure I missed a lot of them. I guess some people can think they saw something or simply lie? Maybe some of them may exist, don't wanna offend people believing in paranormal, but I would say there is something fishy going on.

I thought you were joking seeing your pic is slender man actually xd. Anyway, jokes aside, as one of the users above said slenderman was deliberately fabricated. You can find its source in the net.

I wasn't joking about slenderman. You could be right. It could have been anything amd it could even have been a lie. But what I am scared about is the fact that I saw dreams about slenderman before I even saw his picture. The features my friend described match slenderman's. I thought he was real when I heard the story from my friend. This and the dream was sort of connected. In my dream, I was told by slenderman that he would haunt my friend and it actually happened. Could this be a coinsidence?

That seems like some weird stuff. Your friend probably lied (i mean it is a story after all)..It can be a coincidence why not. You also could see something without realizing it in this case the picture of slenderman and then see it in your dream. And when your friend fabricates some story (and slenderman is quite popular) this happens.

What a coincidence, it was the last night only when I was playing slenderMan game on my mobile phone and today I got into this topic. Basically, I think it is real. There are some videos of his (SlenderMan) on YouTube, I can't guarantee whether they are real of just made up out of software. My gut feeling says it is for real. Where does your friend live? Is it near your house...? If yes then may be you need to be careful. Don't stand at the windows, or go outside alone. Have a glass of Tahitian Noni Juice to relax your mind and sleep properly.

Yes, my friend lives near my house. Not too near and not too far.

One more point we should consider in this. Slender man may not be a ghost, devil or evil as we have been hearing about "it" since our childhood. There are footage on YouTube of Aliens who also looked tall and thin (weird in every way). Area 51 knows something which it always hides from public. You could name it Alien, Slender Man, or anything you want.
