i've never realized why some people with depression say that they dont even feel like they are living anymore, and now i get it. it feels like your heart has quit beating, your brain has froze, and you just feel so emotionally dead that you cant even believe that you are still alive. i feel like i have been holding my breath forever and i just need something to help me release it. its like a dream where you are trapped under water and there is no one to help you.

Thats a good description of it. You feel dead, and you can't take pleasure in anything anymore.

depression is my worst nightmare. it is nothing but that. no hope. no light, no energy, just nothing. and in the future, nothing.

you can't wait to go to sleep for the unconciousness. when you wake up you think "oh god, this again?" and you wish you could sleep for the rest of your life until you die.




but it does pass... it takes a while, but despite how it's making you feel, there IS an end to it.

Just reading that, "there IS an end to it" Makes be feel a little bit better. Because i'm sure as all of you know it's hard to imagine a life without depression? is for me anyway... hope we all find the end soon :wink:
