HI, FOR THE MEN OUT THERE WHO HAVE USED PAXIL OR OTHER MEDICATIONS. DO YOU FEEL AS TOUGH EVEN AFTER MONTHS AND YEARS AFTER USING THE MEDICATION, YOUR PENIS DOES NOT ERECT AS BIG AS BEFORE YOU TOOK THE MEDICATIONS?

I've been on paxil for years and one of the biggest reasons I take it is it gives me the ability to stay hard for hours without orgasming. As for loseing the thereputic orgasm, seeing the girl I'm with have multiple orgasms is all the therepy I need. Talk about an ego boost. I might not be able to carry on a conversation but there's no time for that anyway. LOL

"umm... i want a different drug because this one keeps me from orgasming..."?????

I think any psychologist should be well aware of people's need to have an orgasm. It's one of life's great natural pleasures, is free of charge, and you can have them with a partner or alone.

I think you should go see your psychologist and demand an orgasm :) .

I have been on Paxil for about 3 years and I can honestly say that I think it has improved my life by helping me reduce my social anxiety. I can actually now give presentations in front of a group of people, eventhough I still experience the anxiety while duing it, but I think it is much more reduced that I can actually get by. In addition, I think I might have a little depression associated with my social anxiety, and so Paxil being an antidepressant helps me with that as well. So I really like Paxil, but unfortunately I also experience the sexual side effects that most of you have mentioned. Particularly, I experience the feeling that my penis is not as erect as it was before I took the medication, and I also feel a decrease in sensation and the inability to reach orgasm whenever I am ready. I then did a little research on this and found out that this side effect is common with SSRIs, of which Paxil is one of them. I also went off the medication for about 1 week and notice that the side effect was gone. I am currently working on finding a solution for this problem, because I really think Paxil is the best medication for Social Anxiety currently available (at least for me), and so if I can just solve this one side effect I will be a lot more happy. I will let you know if I find a solution, hopefully soon.
