I Can Help You Cure Your Blushing

I found this with a google search:

Treatment with Rosacea-Ltd resulted in a reduction of the size of the capillaries (spidery vessels or spider veins) that cause redness and blushing within four to six weeks.

It looks like it could really reduce the intensity of our blushing or get rid of it.
Anyone wanna try? You can always get your money back if it doesn't work.

Hm, good find.

I'd be willing to try this. Hopefully RealRemedy comes back on to answer some questions.

wow, that sounds really good. If the Lmethionine and calcium doesnt work for me, i'll definitely go straight to that. I've been using Lmethionine and calcium for about a week and i'm noticing a bit of a difference. When i blush, my face isnt as red, and it goes away fairly quickly, just after the first week! so maybe this is the right remedy for me,

but i'm also wondering if the face creme would be healthier to use instead of taking many amounts of Lmethionine and calcium

anyone have an answer to that?

This is probably why some people can't blush or it doesn't show as much (they have smaller capillaries).

I've always tried my best to search for solutions to this. That's why when I read about methionine I was extremely excited. But, when I received my blood test and found out my histamine levels were normal I was crushed.

I've always had a slightly red pigmented complexion because I'm Irish. I would flush like crazy for no reason, insanely red, then back to a slightly red pigment again. But it seemed I would turn red in social situations much more so I blamed it on facial blushing. But, rosacea is linked to high stress so maybe that had something to do with it. Also, we always think we're so much more red than we truly are. I remember asking my sister if I was a tomato one time when we were out and about and she said I looked "fine" to her. Our minds can play such a huge role.

These disks just make my skin even. I'll probably always have a little pigmentation which is OK, a little color looks good. It's when it's a full on uncontrollable blush that drives me crazy.

I can't remember the last time I full on BLUSHED, even in public (and I just got out of a high profile wedding the other day). So yes, it generally has stopped the blushing.

Maybe we're blaming all the blushing on this skin condition. I feel I'm on the right track for the first time in my life.

Let me ask, for you guys is the blushing like a solid red on your face, almost like a mask? I blush like that except on my upper lip and chin where facial hair grows. I find that interesting.

One more thing, do any of you have dermatography? It's also called the skin writing disease. Research it. It's what I have. When I take a shower my face is beat red because of the heat. That's connected to dermatography. Or I just make a tiny light scratch on my face with my finger and it stays red for many minutes. I think it could tie in with rosacea.

When I went to get my blood test for the histamine, my doctor did his own little test (I don't know if it is linked to high histamine or not...I think he said something about mastocytosis...) but he ran his finger on one side of my back, then did the same thing on my other side. He said that one of the marks from his finger took longer to disappear than the other. Maybe that was the dermatography you were talking about?

My face also gets red when I get out of the shower. What about when you work out?

We might have different kinds of blushing, but maybe the rosacea treatment works for both?

If you can just lightly scratch your arm and leave a red mark that lasts for a few minutes that's pretty much dematography. It's where the mast cells break and release histamine that causes your skin to become inflamed, generally speaking. I always thought that it was just because I'm fair skinned, but it turns out many tan or darker skinned people have it as well.

The strange thing is my face used to get very red when I worked out. Now it only gets red if I hang upside down...like a handstand push-up will cause it to become very red. I think it all might be attributed to my ETS surgery, because my face doesn't even sweat anymore...I'm not sure though.

The weird thing is I accidentally missed my morning disc application because I was running late. I was pretty freaked out by this because I could actually feel my face trying to turn red. But, when I looked in the mirror it was fine. It was better than fine. I think these discs are literally trying to put a block to my face flushing.

Are you sure your improvement is not from Wellbutrin or L-Theanine instead?
I can see how it could help with blushing if it really shrinks capillaries though.

RealRemedy, how long was it until you started to see results after using this product?

About the first week. After that my skin got more and more used to the discs...Now I feel I have complete control of the redness. Rosacea isn't curable, but you can take steps to control it. These discs are the best thing I've found for that.

hey realremedy,

But are u sure this all just isn't due to the ETS? I am just like you, I have a slightly red complection normally, but my whole face lights up like a stop light in stressful/embarrassing situations and when I work out. Also, I read on the rosacea-ltd sight that erythma that goes away after only a few minutes is not an early sign of Rosacea.

The ETS surgery had absolutely no effect on my facial blushing. It only caused my hands to become dry and I've had strange reactions from it. I wouldn't recommend it.

I'm not saying that you all have rosacea. I'm just saying that some of you may have confused blushing with flushing. In high school, I was constantly flushed in class and blamed it on facial blushing and social anxiety. All the stress and not taking care of my skin the right way seemed to open my capillaries even more to the point I felt severe blushing. Rosacea can be characterized as a constant flushed look, papules, acne or a reddish pigmentation. I have mild rosacea, but my face has always looked slightly flushed. Stress, anxiety, an acidic diet and chemicals all play into how the skin looks. Does your skin go from almost no coloring to a flat out RED? I understand it feeling hot, but how much does it change? Touch your face and then touch your neck. Does the skin on your neck feel like the same temperature as your face or does your face feel much hotter?

I was wondering if any of you have tried ZENMED or any topical creams or oral prescriptions? Does your facial skin get irritated and inflamed easily?

I'm tempted to try but I think Celexa is about to start working for me so I would not be able to tell if it's helping or not.

If anyone tries, please post your results here.

An anti depressant has no effect on facial blushing physically. It effects how you feel about the blushing. Good luck.

my face is usually a normal color, with a tiny tint of red, and when i blush i hear people go "omg your so red!" so i'm guessing it goes to a full-on red. Actually i was looking in the mirror one day and something embarassing happened to me and all of a sudden i started to see these red blotches on my face, turning my whole face red. Terrible. I'll definitely be trying this.

Exactly how do you apply this? you rub the disc on your face when its wet..?

I don't claim that anti-depressants will cure everyone's blushing, but Paxil has been a godsend for me. It stopped the blushing (here's my story). My thinking about blushing has not changed. I hate blushing as much as I did before I started Paxil.

I'm the same. Sometimes I go completely red and other times I will have blotches. Please keep us updated.
