I recently went to a gp and told him i have hyperhydrosis which wasnt easy, i did a blood test to check for diabetes and it came back negative. I was told everything is fine and that young people sweat more than others and not to worry about it.
since then ive been struggling with hypersomnia going to bed at 4am waking up at 3-4pm a couple of times 6pm!!!!!
has anyone had this before ?

I dont know how people live with HH and arn't
depressed, this illness ruins your live, destroys opportunities and makes living and doing everyday things F***ing hard !!

I have full body HH and allways feel hot. facial sweating is impossible to live with and i have given up on social occasions. No offence to palmar, feet or arm pit sweating but im looking for advice or thoughts from full body or facil sweaters only

this isn't the way life should be
Thanks

Have you tried Avert (or Robinul in the US)? Cause it works for me. Reduces sweating on every pore of my body.

If you buy some Anhydrol Forte, a roll on deodorant aimed at people with excessive perspiration, it will solve the problem completely.

It comes in a roll on form. Apply it before bed. Lean back and roll it generously onto the forehead (around the hairline too) and just rub it in gently with one finger to smooth out the excess. Do not let it get into the eyes (hence why you lean back and apply it).

It doesn't always work immediately. Apply it every night for about seven days. By that point the sweating to the face will be completely blocked. From that point on, just apply it every other night or every third night, depending on how your sweating is, to keep it 'topped up'.

After you apply it, it dries into a crystalline powder, it can sting a bit, but you wash it off in the morning. It is undetectable. It really works. It will give you more confidence and will eradicate the visible signs of facial sweating.

What's a GP?

I'm pretty much in the same situation.

I went to a dermatologist last week, and he said that there aren't many successful meds for generalized HH. That was about the last thing I wanted to hear from him. He said to call back next week, so I'll keep you all posted on what I find out.

I think generalized HH lowers my threshold for sweating ALL OVER, instead of just one localized spot. That's why I don't think topical meds will be very effective for me.

Anyways keep your head up man, I'm in the same boat. I basically dropped out of college and I'm getting a lot more socially withdrawn because of this bullshit, but there's gotta be a way to stop or slow it. I'm glad I found this website though, now I know I'm not crazy for thinking I sweat too much.
