Hyperhidrosis linked to performance anxiety?

Hello everybody,
I've been following this forum for quite a while now, looking through everyone's threads. Never really posted, though. Anyways, I am a 19 year old male who has had palmar and plantar hh since I could remember. Probably hit during ****rty.
What I wanted to talk about was performance anxiety possibly being linked to hyperhidrosis. We know that HH is due to an overactive sympathetic nervous system, so it actually makes sense to me. I feel like this is very relevant, but I'm sorry if anyone would get offended if I talked about this.
My story goes something like this:
My first serious relationship came along when I was 18, and I was a virgin at the time. We ended up having sex, however I could NOT get it up. It was so weird to me, because I would say that I am easily stimulated. However, long story short we tried it a couple more times and by the 4th or 5th time, I was fine. I could get it up every time from then on.
I felt like this was due to comfortability with the girl I was with, but still linked to HH.
I actually had two more relationships after that and I could not get it up with those two girls either.
Please let me know if you guys have experienced something similar as I have. Just a side note. Still suffering from this horrid disease, and after trying everything I would say that glyco would be the best temp solution if you guys are looking for some hope. Thanks for listening and sharing guys. Much appreciated.

You are not alone with this issue. I'm in my 50's and this has happened to me during the last few relationships spanning a bunch of years. It wasn't till i felt comfortable that an erection would happen. Usually by the 4th or 5th time things would work like they are supposed too. I wouldn't worry about in the future if it happens again with another relationship. This might be the way it is. Some of us guys are not built for one night stands and it takes us awhile to be comfortable when having a sexual encounter.

I doubt the HH is a factor though. I think it happens to a lot of us guys.

Thanks for being brave and asking for advice.

Hey Sprawling,
Thanks for the reply, it makes me feel better knowing that others have overcome this embarrassing situation. Ahh that is true, I think more guys have performance anxiety vs hyperhidrosis. Oh well, I guess we have to learn to embrace it and live a happy life. Keep on staying positive to whoever reads this!
