How do you meet people when you are so different?

Everyone else seem so 'normal' (whatever that means). I might as well be stuck on a desert island in the middle of the Pacific. No, even there I would probably stand a better chance than I do here!

I would love to hear a good answer to that question, myself.

I also feel I'm too different from everyone, even SA people. The solution, I believe, would be to get over my discomfort with differences and learn to enjoy getting to know people who are alien to me. But I don't know if I can do that.

If you meet someone, you have something in common with them already. You're in the same situation as them. Also, think about things that happen on a national or statewide scale. Talking about pop culture is a way to carry a conversation with someone you dont know. Most people will reveal information about themselves as you talk to them, and you can ask them about it later. Also, the best advice I ever got was that everyone want to meet new people, who bring new things into their lives.
