Thanks Graeme, I'm sorry, hope you're feeling better today.
I'm feeling good, mostly because I got out today and talked to people. Also got some things done which are making me feel accomplished.
Hope you feel better soon Mikey. *hugs*

Why, what's the matter, Graybeard?

What's going on, mate?

I'm just having a hard time reintegrating into the forum after being away for so long. I feel like I'm back where I started when I first joined: alone in a crowd, afraid to reach out. Of course, I know a lot of people here now, but it seems as if some of them don't know me anymore or don't want to. It's probably just the SA talking, filling my spongy head with crap. It'll pass. Maybe.

Thanks for asking, guys! :)

Lots of people leave and come back and leave again and come back again, so try not to worry about it too much. :) Last time I left I stole some stationery from Remus - mostly pencils, erasers, a stapler. He didn't even notice.

Unsure about giving holiday cards to coworkers. I'm already filling them out, so I'm going to. And I've gotten them from most people in my dept before, so I thought I should this year. But I know I'll feel uncomfortable tomorrow walking around handing them out. Especially to this one person who I don't like much. Candy's sometimes given, too. They'll like the cherry creme filled Hershey's kiss, right?

ugh. comparison. feeling inadequate. tis the season.

You shouldn't compare yourself to others, Miss dottie. We're all our own person, with our own strengths and weaknesses. For example, I wish I had my brothers' social abilities, but they wish they had my mind (kinda:giggle:). Focus on what makes you awesome and, instead of feeling inadequate, work to improve your skills to the level you want:). You've got all the time in the world, so get started:thumbup:.

I would've added another cliche, but I've got standards, darn it:lol:.

I spent a bit of time trying to talk myself out of my phone interview, seeing as I have been so ridiculously unproductive for the last few yrs and I am awful about talking myself up to anyone. I even said to myself, Yes well i am basically catatonic haa I love to put myself down, will you please give me a job-no.

But low and behold, I had done my homework and I knew how to speak to this particular person, as I had read up about him and how he likes to operate so I had enough ability to say all the right things and quickly even with out any long pauses or stuttering sounding like an idiot...like I usually do in these sort of situations of fear..

I got him to like me in the first 5 mins and I didn't have to think, he's just being nice b/c he wants to sleep with me etc.. b/c it was a phone thing and he has no idea what I look like.

So I have a job doing something exciting with potential for growth. I am going to enjoy this victory damn it!!!

Happy Holidays everyone.

^Ahh yess and the best part is working from home :) No co workers, traffic, hair cuts etc...Get to hang in my worn out jeans, messed up hair, dogs running around and no one cares.

Probably won't last LoL
