How are you feeling?

That sucks! Chocolate, hot bath and if you feel better try to chat up a friend.

Chocolate and a hot shower is exactly what I did before I saw your suggestion! And it made me a little better.
Chatting up a friend is not really possible since I don´t really have any.

Same here. What's causing you to feel so alone?

That I don´t have friends... and that I don´t feel connected to any place or any living being. I´m a feather with no purpose.

I am feeling so sad and scared. My cat is very sick and is spending the next two days at the veterinarian's office hooked up to tubes. I really hope he can come through this. We have been through so much these past 17 years. Including moving far away to another state and the long car trips involved.
I know that he is very old but he seemed to be in good health before getting sick a few days ago. I really hope I can have even just a little more time with him.

I feel like I am swimming along in a strong rip, with my head just out of water, and I like what I see when I look around. But the rip is so strong and it is threatening to pull me under again. It is the angry reaction I get that threatens to drag me down, it takes so much energy to fight the fear that causes. When my head is above the waves, I feel like I am the potential me that could have been, not the broken person I have become.

Yess! I know what's wrong with me. PMDD. I wonder if some other females her suffer from this? I was reading that it effects more women who have had depression and anxiety. I literally felt like I was going crazy the last week and I wanted to kill my poor bf. I am so glad I figured out what is wrong with me before it ruined my life.

Wow, and to read it's often misdiagnosed as Bipolar more accuratly rapid cycling bipolar which I was pretty sure I had...http://meetmypmdd.blogspot.ca/p/what-is-pmdd.html

interesting. Damn hormones!

Yikes, I didn't know this existed. Interesting how it's so severe and yet they say it affects "just 3-8% of women." That seems like a lot to me! This must be very hard to deal with.

I'm sorry to hear about this Spartan. I get absolutely ill whenever one of my cats is sick or injured. What exactly is wrong with your cat?

This winter weather makes me feel like staying in bed all freaking day. Thanks to medication I don't have the depression and anxiety that comes with winter, but I still have the physical sluggishness and aversion to the cold.
Oh well, can't change the fact that I have to go to work today. At least there is hot coffee and warm kitties there.

^ I've dealt with that for a long time, and it took me a while before I figured out what was wrong too. It's downright horrible, I used to get the worst mood swings, was angry most of the time. I always snapped or yelled at my family, sometimes over stupid things. During my anger outbursts my head would just pound and feel fuzzy from being so mad, I felt so out of control. When I wasn't angry I was anxious and depressed. I cried/felt like crying over every little thing that went wrong, and sometimes would just break down in tears. My depression would get to the point where I had urges and thoughts of cutting myself. (Not once have I ever caved though)

I still get fairly anxious, depressed, irritable, and the very occasional thought of cutting myself (no more urges though) when I'm on my period, but after months of going through diet changes and supplements from my nutritionist (she knows of my PMDD; believed it was caused by deficiency of B vitamins and my thyroid not functioning like it should), I have improved a lot. I watch my B vitamins now, especially right before my period and during and it helps a ton!

I know how you feel. It's like when you finally get the motivation to do something to get you outta a funk and you go and it's a total disaster and you wonder why the hoot did I ever leave the darn house? When it gets that bad I have to laugh at myself and life. That helps me. Just laugh at the absurdity of it all.

Thanks Phoenix for your story :) I was thinking it seems like I read posts her by females and it's around their cycles that things get waay outta wack, more than PMS.

I have been taking a B complex vitamin...maybe I will try B-12 shot? I hear they can help. I am also thinking of trying Sam-e. I really need to stabilize my moods and I don't want to take any more prescription drugs for depression, they really didn't help and the side effects were not worth it. Wish I could afford those things but right now I am so broke I will have to just wait it out.

Yes, it's like PMS on steroids. Really hellish. Then I read it gets worse with age, so I have got to get it under control somehow. I am glad I found a good support group through that blog I posted. There's so many women with it that are suffering. It can literally wreck your life.
