How anyone joined an employment agency?

This is something which I've been thinking of doing for quite some time now, but which I've never actually got round to due to social anxiety/ procrastination.

I've been advised lots of times by people to join one (none of which know I have SA).

Has anyone joined one and what was it like? Did you disclose your health problems to them?

You can use the telephone directory to find all the employment agencies in your area, and under them there will be be contact details such as address and telephone number. If you go there they'll give you an application form to fill out at home or there. This is what I did. I'm not sure how it works over the phone, but don't be scared to do it. They'll probably offer to send you an application form/link you to a registration, so you won't have to spend a long time on the line (if this is what worries you)
