Thank you Emily, Serafina and Darker than whatever...
It's good to meet you.
I should add that I also have Asperger's Syndrome and probably at least accounts for why I have some of the problems socially that I have.
It's good to be here.
Thanks again

Unconventional sounds good to me but it's pretty hard to deal with otherwise. It's a form of autism and for me comes with something called SPD -Sensory Processing Disorder which makes me rather hypersensitive to a lot of things, which makes everyday life quite painful in many instances. I don't enjoy the social and communication problems either and wish the most that I knew how to make friends. It seems so easy for people a lot of the time when I have trouble just forming a simple sentence with verbal communication. It's nice though to see how someone else might see it as you describe, and perhaps I can look at the differences in a little more positive light this way, when I can remember to.

Thank you Serafina. You are an exceptionally nice person. See how dorky?! Just kidding. (smiles)

Hi Mercedes, i have a cousin with that name! You're in NY so you can't be her haha.

Welcome to this web site. I'm new myself and just the few days of reading and posting it has done some good. Its good to talk to people who are honest about what they are feelings and can give advice based on their experiences!

Hi Elek2ronik, Welcome to you too! No, I'm definately not your cousin :):), and yes, it's hard to be open and honest when all you're life you've had to sort of make believe in order to somehow pass as normal or average as much as possible, or what appears to be anyway. It goes a long way I guess for self-acceptance to be able to admit and say what the difficulties are and even more so in being able to read and to be able to see that many others out here struggle very much with the same difficulties. I'm working at it, (self-acceptance), but it's not so easy many times. Thanks for the welcome, it's good to meet you and thank you for the friendship request too. :):)
