Hey, what about ritalin

Definitely possible. But if you're gonna resort to pharmaceuticals, why not just go for ones designed specifically to treat anxiety?

Like qwerty says, they're just temporary, have side effects, and you have to take em for the rest of your life.

I prefer to deal with it on my own and try to overcome that (although that hasn't exactly worked so well lol) but I read about how others take anti-depressants and stuff, and even though it balances them out, they say it's kind of like being in a dream or like a zombie forever when they're on it.

I think Ritalin is actually a stimulant - and works by enabling kids to focus on 'one thing' solving the attention deficit part of ADHD.

It'd be good if it could stop you're mind going everywhere - I just can't focus in a social sitution, I do sort of have an attention deficit disorder - I evenutally just zone out.

It may not work the same in an adult brain though (I mean may cause side effects and stuff). Interestingly, another stimulant 'ketamine' tranquilises kids - but can give adults temporary psychosis. A child's brain cannot experience psychosis. This is why schizophrenia doesn't manifest until your late teens early adulthood.

Maybe there's an adult attention deficit drug.
