CHRISTIAN discussion

Hi all, this is where I'll probably discuss Christianity, Christ the Lord and other Christians can do the same and I can also discuss any questions others have but I will not reply to posts that are flaming Christ but only genuine questions and I should note that I'm around an intermediate Christian, not an advanced Christian. Thank you

I will not discuss islam religion simply because it only takes the OT into account and the belief that Jesus was only a prophet and Mohammad was God and ignores the NT which tells us Jesus is Lord, and that's not the whole bible

We should never forget the B.C. and A.C. in history, B.C. meaning 'before Christ' and "A.D." in Latin meaning 'anno domini' (in the year of the Lord), we should not forget the alters that I heard that are still here today built by the chosen men of God. Lord Jesus wants us to be with Him, he says '.....so that where I am, you may be also', 'in my house, there are many rooms/mansions'. 'No eye has seen nor ear has heard what the Lord has in store for us in heaven'. There's a film called 'Heaven is For Real' that you can watch, based on a true story

I'd like to share that Joel Osteen and Charles Stanley has helped me extraordinarily in knowing so much more about God. I think you will absorb everything that is said if you have read the whole bible before yourself so it's confirmed in you, or else you can follow through by what Charles Stanley uses or points out in scripture. Charles Stanley passed away this year at about if not exactly 90 years of age. He has lived long enough although I do miss that he's in another dimension now. People are going to talk down Joel Osteen but really, he has been a tremendous blessing to me, not perfect probably as he never talks about the realness of hell, but he's so positive and insightful and tells you how God works and uses scripture too. God bless! I hope that you all will learn and grow spiritually too in Christ. Enjoy the Christmas season.

In loving memory of Charles Stanley. Very interesting and helpful sermon. I recently watched this. About 7-8 yrs ago I thought this sermon wouldn't help me so I waited until now to watch it. I wish I watched it then. God bless anyone who is willing to watch this. Charles Stanley is so Spirit-filled, wise and insightful and caught my attention about 10 yrs ago. Christ/God is our hope and salvation.

the greatest commandment of God (Jesus Christ) is first, to love the Lord Your God with all your heart, soul and mind and the second is like it, to love your neighbor as yourself. What Charles Stanley was talking about in his sermon was that Christians in Christ, are called to recognize and be alert and respond to God-given opportunities because it has a purpose, others have needs that we can help and God uses us for that so it's not about us in the selfish sense but about helping others and God will bless us either on this earth or in heaven but I think He will bless us somehow on this earth. He also says that if you're busy but there's a God-given opportunity, God enables us to be able to meet the need of another person so as long as it is a God-given opportunity we shouldn't think we're too busy and should always try and never make excuses because there's a purpose that God knows about or that we don't know what we ourselves will be missing out on and that we will never be able to have that opportunity again (a passing opportunity). Charles Stanley also talks about a secure eternal salvation in the end. I agree that as we follow God/Christ Jesus' will in our lives and do not deliberately/intentionally sin (we might fall and get back up again by repenting but we are better people with God because we know perfect love as he teaches us and the world can become a better place), we will have eternal security then but if you do not follow God's will, God will say "I never knew you! When I was thirsty you didn't, when I was hungry, you didn't, when I needed clothes you didn't, when I was sick and in prison you didn't visit me". You will then not be eternally secure but be separated from God because God cannot be with people who are in sin without a care in the world, be united with evil or darkness. You must receive the Holy Spirit indwelling in you (then having God's Spirit on the inside of you!) by being baptized, reading the whole Holy bible, following Christ, and the Holy Spirit will make you want to always strive to be perfectly good/sinless. He doesn't force you to love Him but he gives freewill and what a wonderful opportunity to get to love God who blesses and provides for your needs and who promises that if you delight in Him, He will give you the desires of your heart and He cares. There are some things that will happen in this world but as it says in the bible, neither life nor death can separate us from the love of God and we should not be afraid of the one who can kill the body but not the Spirit. Satan comes only to kill, steal and destroy but God comes so that we may have life and live it more abundantly and to the full. We must stand on God's Word of truth and he also says that the Word is living and active! It is, it's real. God bless.

Your salvation is an opportunity, it's a wonderful opportunity but it's time-limited. If anything happens to you, it will be a passing opportunity so do you want to be right with God and start repenting of your sins and make Jesus your Lord and Savior and follow His good and loving will and lead and guidance and have Him help and bless you for your obedience or do you want to be a part of this worldly, Satanic, sinful realm, alone, lost and broken? It's an opportunity for you to make that decision for yourself today, right now. God bless.

I just recently have felt it's like a coat covering me with peace that's from my faith in Jesus and I feel like the Holy Spirit is telling me and giving me this kind of faith in that there's no doubt that God will provide all of my needs, including friendships and then I felt that I have no more social anxiety/phobia because I know that God gave me this peace and security to me belonging to the kingdom of heaven in which being in this worldly world could not offer or provide for me. You see, only through a relationship with God and having received the Holy Spirit (God's Spirit on the inside of you) can you get true peace and security. God's Word says "Peace I give to you, my peace I leave with you, not as the world gives do I give to you." It's exactly right. You can be in the world and have the looks, money but always be insecure or unhappy in getting what you need, love. The kind of true peace and happiness God gives you is that He provides and chooses the people who are going to be in your life forever as in, secure. You don't need everyone to like you, you only need a select few that God will choose for you. You can also choose to be on your own or you can choose to get connected back to God as the source and your Lord and Savior. Christ came to restore humankind back to what it was intended to be, sinless and Godly, to love Him fully and love others as yourself, to help and love each other, not to hate, be violent, abusive, etc (sin) God bless you all.
