Good news - I got invited to a party in a couple of weeks. There should be lots of nice women there! 
Bad news - I went to a bar after work. A new co-worker girl turned up and some of my collegues were trying to get me to hit on this girl. She is pretty but I was a)tired, and b)didn't feel comfortable doing it in front of them...
Also, I talked to this girl and struggled to come up with decent conversation. Why is it the guy that has to work so hard to interact with these girls and at the same time get no help from them!
