I have been very depressed and anxious lately and am thinking of going on antidepressants. My main concern is that I will be sweating worse than I already do. Sweating is the main side effect people seem to complain about with ssris/snris. I am thinking about asking my doctor about going on pristiq because it seems to be the drug with the least amount of side effects but people still complain about sweating. Also, my doctor will not prescribe any other type of antidepressants such as MAOIs

I have tried Lexapro wich is an SSRI and the sweating side effects were insane. Acne and some other side effects also. Unfortunately, the side effects out weighed the wonderful benefits.
I currently take Clonazepam .5 to 1.5mg as needed which helps with GAD. prescription med

Hi, I take Citalopram and didnt find a noticeable increase in sweating. Although I (had) severe underarm sweating, I found that being anxious exacerbated the symptoms. Citalopram itself made me less anxious so saw a reduction in especially facial sweating.
The most effective treatment I found for my HH has been an external spray from sweatstop.com. Its a little severe to start with, however after a couple of weeks, my localised sweating almost stopped. With both sweat stop and citalopram I now hardly even consider myself a sufferer of HH.
