is the legend of zelda games for the N64 any good? i recently got a second hand N64 with 1 controller free but i have no games and only ones i know of are mario lol
if you could reccomend any N64 games it would be awesome(i have a random taste in games so mention anything apart from stuff like hello kitty and that ::p: )

There are two N64 legend of zelda games. The first one was Ocarina of Time. The second is Majora Mask. Both are considered to be good games. If you like to solve dungeon puzzles, then this is the game for you.

Goldeneye is another good N64 game. If you like shooting, this is the game for you.

You can download N64 games now. All you need to do is install the emulator, download the roms and purchase a controller to insert into your PC/laptop.

Why is it the first time I hear about this game?? It looks so awesome and scary, I need to play it.

Amnesia: The Dark Descent - Scary Gameplay - YouTube

Oh, that? Yeah, scary::p:. Haven't played it though, nor do I intend to. I like my sleep and my days peaceful::eek::. Besides, I hate playing games on my computer. But you'll be happy to hear that it's getting a sequel that should be even scarier:).

Oh, and O'Killian? It wasn't the ReDead. I never found them scary, to be honest. I was referring to the Wall/Floormasters.

I've been playing a lot of F.E.A.R lately. I played the second and the Reborn add-on, then I played the first again, now I'm playing the third. After this I might play the add-ons for the first again.

I played Amnesia some months ago, but not long after I stopped for certain reasons. I am going to start back up on it though. It's creepy and fun.

Sometime in the near future I am also going to play the Penumbra games.

Amnesia's good, scary fun because of the atmosphere. If said atmosphere gets broken, it just becomes frustrating. There's a particular section that's almost entirely dark, twisty, and populated by several unfightable beasties... which made it, for me, not scary at all and more a terrific frustration as I ran around, repeatedly dying and not figuring out how to proceed. The game relies pretty heavily on immersion and less on cheap jump scares, so anybody who thinks they'll be too scared by it might try it in windowed mode in a well lit room. The puzzles and story are worth it even without the 'scary' layer.

At DeadmanWalking - heh, I agree the Wall/Floormasters are just as bad. At least I know I'm not the only one who's been too scared of a non-horror game to continue with it, now.

Looking for any genre in particular? I reflexively recommend Sword of the Stars to just about anyone who asks. If you're into 4x games (think the Civilization games), it's pretty awesome and even if you aren't (I wasn't!) it's fun to get into. At least, if you're at all interested in space strategy games with customizable ships. The sequel's in a strange place so I dunno about that (plus I couldn't run it anyway, heh).

I don't actually play a ton of commercial PC games, what with circumstances, so most of my recommendations would be for roguelikes and stuff like Dwarf Fortress. I have no idea if those are your cup of tea or not, though.

Ahh interesting, never heard of this game but i play a lot of other Paradox Interactive games so it may be something for me. I'll definitely look into it, thnx ;)

Have you tried it's expansions for starters? "Warband" and "With Fire and Sword". Warband fixes a few things, have a new map and a new faction. Fire and Sword introduce a new age with powder and muskets.

If you haven't tried out the Total War series, you simply must. Specify what kind of games you like and let's see what we can do. :)

Oh yeah man, i'm not such a big newb =p When i said m&b i kinda meant Warband ;)

Yeah, the total wars series rocks, i got most of them :D

Anybody else play hidden object games? I always used to think "bah, screw that! I'll NEVER play one of those". But I gave one a shot, and now I'm absolutely hooked. You can get 'em on torrents and such (if you're strapped for cash....or if you're an arrrrgh me matey kinda person :p).

It's not just searching for hidden objects in these games, there's also other puzzles, collecting items and usually a story to follow. Big Fish probably makes the best HOGs I reckon. If you've never tried one, give them a go. You might just get hooked.

I would highly recommend:

Vampire Saga - Pandora's Box
Vampire Saga - Welcome To Hell Lock
Vampire Saga - Break Out
Nightmares from the Deep - The Cursed Heart
Living Legends - Ice Rose
Golden Trails - The New Western Rush
Golden Trails 2 - The Lost Legacy
Midnight Mysteries 3 - Devil on the Mississippi
Lost Souls - Enchanted Paintings
Sea Legends - Phantasmal Light
Malice - Two Sisters
Reincarnations 2 - Uncover the Past CE
Reincarnations 3 - Back to Reality

I love them. I've already played Reincarnations and The devil in the Mississippi. I was mad when my hard drive crashed because I had many downloads from bigfish on it. I play them because I don't know any good adventure games for my computer and the graphics from these hidden games are amazing.

^ I loved Skyrim, I must be due for another run through it. Can't wait for Dawnguard.

That's one of things I love about these games, the graphics are just absolutely stunning. And they're so accessible, anyone can just pick up and play. I'd post a link to a good forum that has virtually every HOG, but it's probably against the rules.

Playing Postal 3 lets me vent my frustrations in virtual space.

I was playing that game a while ago, it was so buggy I had to delete it. As far as "venting your frustrations" in games, I would also recommend Serious Sam, Painkiller and Left 4 Dead. Big bodycounts and plenty of the old "ultraviolence". :D
