I see people talking about Fallout 4 safe to say Fallout 4 is the only reason I bought a PS4 xD. Sure I play other games on the system but I just really wanted to play Fallout 4 and it was cheaper to get a PS4 than a new PC xD. Besides I always preferred consoles, not to bash PC because I also play PC.

Is anyone else playing SOMA? It's really good. :X

I have been so hyped for this game for so long. I loved Frictional's previous games. It's too bad I can't get my hands on it right now but the reviews have been talking a lot about how good the story is.

Trying hard to avoid spoilers and lets plays but it's difficult.

It's also available on Steam if you have the computer for it. From what I can tell, it's really well optimized.

But yeah, in that case I'll just say the environment and narrative are very interesting, and the puzzles and interactions are good old fashion Frictional Games style, but a little more fluid and responsive.

It also has a really good sense of player inclusion. I haven't had it take unwanted control from me so far.

I kinda want to play NBA 2k16 but if it's like last year where you couldn't change the simulated minutes then it'll have to wait, I don't have time to play 1 hour long games (only on weekends). The simulated games stuff is the length of the matches played by the computer only. So if I put mine at 6 minute quarters, I'd like to put the PC's at 6 minutes as well so our stats are based on the same amount of time. But last year you couldn't do that, so you'd play 6 minute quarters while the PC played 12 minute quarters, and as such you wouldn't get stats as good as the PC and you wouldn't be selected for MVP.

Good thing I didn't buy NBA 2k16, it doesn't seem worth the money judging by most reviews. One thing that I was really hyped for this year was My Career mode, because they made it seem like there was this awesome story and you'd have a ton of freedom to do whatever you wanted with your career. But apparently it's the opposite: it's a terrible, predictable story, you can't make any choices, and it's basically Freq's Career. Freq is the nickname of the main character; yes, you can't even choose that this year. Everyone will call you Freq, and the story behind that nickname is really stupid.

You're the not-adopted son of a poor black family (even if you're white; and you can't be asian).

They have this huge cutscene that makes it seem like you have the choice of staying one more year in college or declaring for the NBA draft, but in the end you can't really choose anything. Apparently you only play 8 games in your first season, even though a season has 82 games and you were already on your team when the season started.

The only choices you make is what position you play and which college team you play for, and you only play 4 games with them anyway. How is that "my career"?

I want to like the fallout games as much as other people seem to, but can't. I mildly liked fallout 3 and new vegas, atleast enough to beat them and then never play them again. I played fallout 4 for about 40 minutes before realizing I wasn't really having any fun, and it was just more of the same. I can't even force myself to keep playing like I did with the previous games. Just gonna return it and get atleast some money back on it since I already opened it.

That's really unfortunate. Fallout is a series of games that has so much bang for your buck. Especially with the modding scene, there's practically infinite value for a game that is priced the same as everything else.

That's understandable. I felt somewhat similarly with Skyrim. It just couldn't keep my attention halfway through, and could only play in short bursts before getting bored.

I feel like mods have become almost essential for Bethesda games in order to have the "true" experience. Especially when it comes to game stability and UI.

I couldn't agree with this more. Mods should be utilized to fix, enhance or overhaul something that is nearly perfect in its own right, not make it playable. But with Bethesda games it almost a requirement to know the console commands and troubleshoot at least a few times during a playthrough.

I don't want to be overly negative here as that would not be a **** move towards the people that have been eagerly awaiting Fallout 4, but Bethesda has shown a consistent level of technical incompetence that I don't think should be in games of their stature.
