And it's interesting how they've gone about it.
Any random item in the world, from toasters to whole houses, can be 'scrapped' for raw materials. That's just an amazing concept to me... all those times in FO 3 and New Vegas that I'd ignore everything that wasn't caps and ammo... now I'll have to haul all that sh*t back to my settlement. :kickingmyself:
I'ma waste so much time building towers and kill-zones to funnel incoming raiders through...
And I'll need to buy a proper Gaming PC, too. Something that'll easily allow for heavy frame-rates and up-coming VR-support, when the Occulus Rift drops in Q1 2016.

I'd be careful with Bethesda games in VR. They're fun, but they're not exactly known for their stability. If you hit one of those instabilities in VR, it might induce other things that a few chuckles. Sim sickness is quite awful. :X
I can only imagine if the VR system crashes, you get stuck in the Fallout universe forever. That would be a step down, I think.

This game has inspired me to get back in shape, since having a heart attack before November 10 would be the greatest tragedy ever.

I'm familiar with the unspoken Thou Shalt Not of criticizing classics in the gaming world, but it's leading to complacency. I'm looking at a sequel made in 2013 that's made zero improvements over the original in 1998, which had many flaws. The exact same major flaws are there.
If anyone other than the indiest of indie developers released a game with Super Mario World graphics, story, and functionality today, they'd be shrugged off. But when you're riding on the coattails of your past victories, you're above criticism, apparently.

My reaction kind of went like this:
Announcer shows off being able to build your own settlements
Me: "Oh that's kind of cool"
Announcer: "Raiders can and will attack.."
Me: "Well then no settlements for me!"
I hope my PC is good enough for the game, I was also excited about the new South Park game, Doom 4, Gears 4, Mass Effect: Andromeda, and of course...friggin' Final Fantasy 7 Remake. I'd personally prefer Final Fantasy 9, but I'm still getting it.
Almost forgot about Star Ocean 5, I know its not terribly loved, but I personally loved Star Ocean 4.

Apparently there's a pretty promising mod in development for Skyrim that'll allow for co-optional play. It's different from the mass-mutiplayer mod for Skyrim. That just kinda died off.

For those of you who own a PS4 and/or Xbox One, do you pay for the internet subscription? Why?
I think it's retarded to pay 50/60€ a year (on top of what you already pay for internet) to play online and I don't understand why so many people do it. There are a couple of games I would like to play on these consoles (one of them is not available for PC), but I sure as hell ain't paying to play online.

The more I watch Star Citizen develop, the less I'm inclined to actually play it. The weird thing is that I can't really identify why that is.
Maybe I'm subconsciously starting to associate the choppy/unpolished development footage with the inherent quality of the game itself. That, and the seemingly real life hogging commitment that it seems to convey you need to properly play it.
The hyper expensive ships you can currently buy (without having any solid content that would excuse the price tag at this point in time other than giving them development money) also isn't really helping.

Can't believe I haven't played Oblivion even one time since Skyrim came out. Until today. Now that I've gone back and reimmersed myself, I'm convinced that Oblivion is the better game overall.

I just installed oblivion on my laptop as a back up offline game.
I think it is truly a gaming masterpiece.
We have a music hall of fame, sports etc etc, why shouldn't we have a gaming hall of fame?
