Aparantly the ULTRA setting is not the true ULTRA.

We will see that in the retail ver.

Yeah i heard this rumor , but their only source was some article at Pc Gamer , not sure if this is reliable , but let's cross our fingers , would be nice to have even better visuals !

But there is such a minimal amount of changes from High to Ultra , even Low looks good , I'm wondering if this is really just the limited options of the beta

Would be a pain, I would want to max it out :( which I know I wouldn't be able to do haha.

Do you normally point guns at attractive women talking to you mister? :-|

Anyways I just want to know if its a hard game or not. Im a pansy when it comes to FPSs so I dont like hard ones. Is it as hard as fallout 3?

You know, games usually have different difficulties :p

I'm not a great gamer (unless we're talking about a football game, in which I could beat you all ) but I could finish Fallout 3 without sweating too much :D

Try to start with something easy and keep practicing, probably you will improve your skills with time and practice :)

Well I thought it was hard because its not like Halo where you have a force field and weapons just lying around like nobody wants them. Plus every thing you ate or drank slowly poisoned you. Another thing that kicked my butt was walking around, and suddenly something's attacking me and I didnt even hear the bastard coming. I turn around and theres a giant mutant rat biting my ass off >.< And dont get me started on the raiders. Those fools have like bullseye accuracy and dont seem to care that you're shooting at them, they just run up and blast you point blank in the face with some shot gun or something. ::(:

Never played Halo, shame on me :p

It's true that it can be hard sometimes (and after remembering a bit I remember being stuck more than once XD) but it's what makes games funny, I don't want to go there and start killing everyone so easily.

Nah the game is not hard at all , and there is a difficulty level you can choose , i'm playing on normal and haven't died once yet , plus you can save whenever you want . For some reason i'm pretty sure the game is able to be maxed out on my system , i can't say tho with this automatic graphic thing , which sucks . Again there is a great atmosphere in the game , the minigames are fun , and the audio really good . Not sure about game length and replayability , but my expectations are not too high anymore. Here's a couple more screenshots of some ingame characters resized to 720p.

I got to play a few minutes of it last night and it's beautiful on console. I guess Im not used to those kinda graphics since my PC sucks.

I also like how animated and alive the NPCs look. They dont seem to have that creepy glassy eyes look the fallout NPCs have for that Bioware face. I swear the ones from Dungeon Siege 3 looked like they were reading from cue cards. They kept looking off the screen behind my character like they were forgetting their lines.

Rage is a new game that was released on October 4th , for PC , Xbox and PS3 , the beta game some of us has been talking about recently is Battlefield 3 , coming out on October 25th.

Here is the full story from the Wiki:

The game is set in a post-apocalyptic version of a wasteland created by an asteroid impact, based on the real life asteroid Apophis, which is on track to pass near Earth in 2036. In Rage's story (which is of course fiction and not real life), the asteroid strikes on August 23, 2038, and the few pockets of survivors are forced to begin a new civilization.

The world is populated by human survivors of the impact, who have come together to form settlements around oases and other practical or habitable locations. These fragile homes are diligently defended by the inhabitants against bandits and mutants, which are divided into various gangs and organizations of their own. Bandits and mutants serve as the player's main enemies for much of the game, although id Software has hinted at some sort of significant change around the halfway point in the storyline.

The player emerges into this setting after being preserved inside an underground cryogenic pod called an Ark. The Arks are the direct result of the Eden Project, a massive international undertaking in which hundreds of Arks were sealed under the surface of the Earth with twelve people inside each. Each passenger possessed a special ability or trait that, combined with those of the other members, would help them rebuild society. The Eden Project, however, was far less successful than hoped. The player's Ark in particular is in bad shape at the start of the game. All of the other residents of the player's Ark are dead (presumably because of the impact), and the equipment of the Ark is destroyed as well, so the player wakes up alone and uninformed. With no memory of his identity or objective, the player is forced to head for the surface to find sustenance and allies.
