Freaking out about school

So....normally, I wait till the last minute and I freak out thinking I am going to bomb an assignment, then I end up fine. Tonight, I had to submit something (as of a few minutes ago). I had weeks to work on it, and had some done prior to today, but ended up not getting all the components done, and I wrote it up horribly, so I know I won't do well on it...I am seriously having a meltdown...

There was a time I would get anxious when I know something wasn't done well, but now I don't even care anymore. If it's not good, then I'll try again at the second chance.

To alleviate the meltdown you're having try this:

"I'm having a meltdown because I didn't do a good job on the assignment. Now I will cool down and move on. I will do better from now on."

Say it with your voice out loud or in your mind (out loud is more effective). Try saying it at least ten times. The more you say it, the more it will develop in your mind. There clearer the idea, the more likely you will follow through and recover more quickly from your meltdown.

If you no longer want to wait till the last minute. Tell yourself a similar phrase, such as:

"I will complete my assignment well before the due date. I will do the assignment the best I can"

Repeat it at least ten times.

Say the phrases ten times for ten days and you're well on your way to retrain your mind. Remain consistent and you will note change overtime. May take a week, month, or a year. Maybe longer, but you will notice gradual change.

No point in being stressed about something that has already happened, The only thing you should do is accept it, and move on

Hey I am also a student and I'm stressed about school as well. I have at least 1 test a week and maybe 1-2 assignments every week. I am still passing my grades where a pass is at least 70%. I only failed one assignment with a 68%. My advice would be to try and get on top of your work sooner then later. I have a struggle of working at home, so if you have this problem just stay at school longer or go on weekends, that's what I do and it's been helping. Also I say if you are struggling get a tutor, because they go a long way.

Currently I am stressed out about paying tuition I owe 3000 some dollars and don't have enough to pay, so that means I have to sign up for more loans.
