Ive had Anxiety problems for a looooooong time, i started going to see a Doctor and that helped me loads, now I can go out and do lots of things that I wasnt able to before. However now I find that when Im alone in my house I start to worry about all kinds of things. I have to move in with another set of new people for my final year of university, not to mention all the work and stress Im going to deal with while at university. Can any1 give me advice on staying calm when the work load is heavy? And I dont go back to university till september, why am i worrying now!!!!!

If i was out and about I wouldnt worry about this, but i cant be out all the time. WHAT DO I DOOOOO??????? :(

I know what you are going through I am currently studying at the moment to finish and go to university in September. There is alot going on and i'm all alone in my house thinking about it all the time.

What I tend to do to occupy myself to stop me worrying is watching movies, playing video games and listen to music whiles not doing my work. I do have the moment of thinking about my workload but I keep reminding myself that I should panic and I will complete it and take my work step-by-step. Even if it is overdue.

Its human nature to think about things but reminding yourself that you will be ok and you can do it. :D :)

It's because your mind is not busy. When your out you don't have time to think about all those things that could go wrong but when you're alone it give your brain time to think about them.

You need to find a hobby to keep your mind busy.So you are not always worry about thing but being in your position its normal to worry.Just try to keep your mind busy when your alone.

go for a run or a jog. it'll help clear your clogged up mind, since u say u have noting to do when you're alone. plus exercise keeps you healthy. so i'd say you're killing 2 birds with 1 stone in this. especially since u say going out fr no reason or finding things to do which you have no reason to do so just because you need to keep your mind busy is kinda pointless, which i agree with, and i get what you mean.

works for me.

Yep, totally agree. I find that if I spend all day indoors, then my mind becomes totally anxiety ridden and I usually end up worrying myself excessively over something.

Like the previous posts have said, excercise or hobbies are a great help in distracting the mind.
