fantasy vs reality

I like to think of my fantasies and daydreaming as being creative. And creativity has to be good for your brain, right?

I'd like to like to write some fiction

like Gene Roddenberry's new gen got me into it during the 1990s at school or Red Dwarf
but it's far too much into people and love and social

and The Lawnmower Man movie

probably not Terry Pratchett's type

My favourite author is Iain M. Banks. His stuff is surreal
He might not be around for much longer

The truly absurd fantasy I see is when everyone smiles and acts nicely when inside, professionally, they hate

well there is growing belief amongst physicists that the universe as we know it is merely a simulation anyway...so your fantasy has just as much validity as everyone else's reality. Your dreams just as real as your everyday existance.

I think having an active fantasy life is soothing.Sort of a vacation for your mind when you start feeling overwhelmed or stressed out.

It's fine to have your own fantasy world but you also need to be aware of reality
I always use the video game worlds like skyrim or I write fictional stories to escape reality and it helps I think if I didn't have my fantasy world I wouldn't probably be here.

I think creativity is important, but I can't stand fantasy or pure escapism... a lot of it feels too much like narcissism or wish fulfillment for people who want to feel as special as their parents and TVs tell them they are.

I actually prefer drugs... or like really bizarre realities.

The way I've always seen it, I love the life, but hate reality. I would be lost without my anime/manga, and online games.

Fantasy is an escape, everyone needs that I think. I dream a lot, but sometimes I turn those dreams into reality.

Fantasy saved me, reality is important but I do prefer fantasy always. I love sci-fi of most any kind. It helps me to escape for a while.

My "fantasy" is very close to reality. I think about how the world would've looked today if something in history had turned out differently, and international politics and what major events will happen in the future, and I make thought experiments. Other than that, I don't really have any "fantasy".

Well let me rephrase, anime combines reality and fantasy in one world. Human emotion is a big thing with pretty much all animes. So even though they are animated characters, you can easily pick one out, or maybe two, that you can relate with to some degree. I am trying to kind of balance it out a little bit. I like to get together with friends now and then (even though we either play D&D or watch anime XD) but I mean the social aspect of it. Getting out with friends, (real people) instead of anime characters. But I always like to get back to my anime when it's all said and done.
