Being alone all the time can certainly cause depression. It's human nature to want to be accompanied and isolation naturally tends to cause one to feel down or depressed. As for the "light headed" feeling, I have no idea what that is. I suffer from depression to a great extent and I have never experienced this sensation. Maybe you should see a doctor about that.

Loneliness on it's own may or may not cause depression, depending on your living environment. Light headedness however, does not accompany depression. I would go to a doctor for more information on that. If you have depression, you would find that your entire general quality of life is low, you may have trouble going to sleep or staying asleep, and numerous negative thoughts aimed towards oneself.
