Naw, not at all. Ah git that as well, sometimes. So yer not alone. Wi' me it's more tha "Have I choose the right words? I hope I don't come across badly, or sound stupid. Gawd, ah hope naebuddy take's that the wrong way". :praying: Also, ah've always found it difficult maintainin' online conversations. Mind you, ah'm nae better off-line in real life.

But ah think we aw git anxious when it comes tae talking online, or jist talkin' in general. It's no' easy tae sustain a conversation if yer no' tha most charismatic or confident person in tha world - mibbe that's jist me, though? :idontknow:

(Sorry aboot tha whole writin' ma native Scottish tongue. Some folk on here find it awesome an' charming. Hopefully ye understood most o' it, aye?) :sarcastic:

It's just wanting to come across like a good person that I struggle with. I get anxious when talking to people Incase they think I am lying. I think it's cause people thought I was lying about my mental health and learning difficulties and now I feel the same way when talking to people online I don't know too well.

Ah struggle wi' tha same things when it comes tae ma mental learning difficulties an' physical disability. Comin' across as a good person isnae easy when yer strugglin' anxiety an' depression. Sorry, tae hear ye hud a bad experience when talking aboot yer health issues, Jay. Some folk 're jist too quick tae judge, sometimes.

A bit. My main issue is that I can't do anything else "productive". Watching TV shows, playing games, reading books and so on is hard because I'd have to pause all the time and that ruins those activities. Only thing I can do is browse the web while waiting for the reply. It feels like I'm wasting my time.

talking online can have bad consequences if we over analyse other peoples comments and how our own comments could be portrayed to others.
The advantage of online talking is we have time to think of a response and choose our words carefully if we so choose to.
The disadvantage is you cannot easily express emotions online and the skill we develop of reading other peoples emotions when talking face to face is not used online so it leads us to sometimes interpret someone elses comment as negative without justification when really it could have been intended to mean any number of different things. Also we always tend to interpret the time delay of someones response as being a negative vibe if they take ages to reply when again it could be for any number of reasons. So for that reason online talking can be as much if not more stressful to some people.

I feel that way sometimes too, you just have to ignore those negative thoughts. People aren't always going to like what you have to say though.. and when that happens you can't take it so negatively, it's just life. There's nothing wrong with you.

If it makes you feel better, by reading this post I look at you just as normally as every other person on this forum or any other forum I've ever been on. It's just all in your head ;)

If it helps, you're nowhere near as stupid as most of the people in YouTube comments and they still have lives.
