::p:

You know my answer already. But ill post it again because i'm bored.

Hate my name. Sabrina. Mainly because it's MY name. Also because it is a very feminine name, and gives people a false impression of the kind of person I am. Then there's that "eeeeeee" sound in it, and it drives me insane. Too spanish. And, I do not like long names.... Too much to carry.

...not at the moment, I'll ponder this for a while. What a huge decision people take to change their name!

Maybe I need multiple names, like my avatars :rolleyes:

Edit: I had a transgender student once who had a different name and clothes depending on whether they felt more male or female!

Does that mean that you are a teacher?

I like my name. I couldnt imagine myself being called anything else. My real name is David but I prefer Dave. Everyone knows a Dave...

I used to hate my name because it seemed that no one could pronounce it. Eventually, I grew to like it because my name is not that common and that's part of what makes me unique in my own right.

My parents didn’t do to poorly with choosing my name because I haven’t had any negativity because of it. I am ok with it but I think I would have been ok with not having a name because of how my memory works, I usually associate people with their faces. I do like my last name a little better.

I'm pleased enough with mine. It's one of those names that people can improvise with so different people call me by different variations of it. Keeps it fresh I suppose.

Not crazy about my surname though.

I don't really care about my name, if I'm honest. Most people just call me Puma anyway. Only my direct family calls me Jim (even though it's ''Jimmy'' officially). :3

I hated my old name because it was unusual/difficult to pronounce/spell. People would always butcher it and I just have bad memories associated with it. So, I legally changed my first and middle name to Adrianna Rose.

Not really. I think I'd feel weird with any name, just because it's my name. I don't know, I just don't like saying my own name. I sometimes feel weird when people say it to me, but not so much anymore. I think I'd dislike any name that was mine.

My name has grown on me I guess, but for the most part I don't really like it. I mean I wouldn't change it, but it is boring at times (Michael, most common name in the US). I would much rather go by vj to be honest, or my last name.

vj I prefer you as vj too!! (Maybe you can use it as 'artist' name or even legally change it someday lol?)

Well, I used to like my name, then hated it, changed it a bit (even legally :)), then was sort of indifferent, then I liked it again.. It changes...

I think it's wiser not to tell too much online though... especially for those of you with two names, maybe it's better to keep it off the boards where everyone can see? (Or is this a more private section for members-only?)

I hate my name, everyone else seem to like it, but I never did. Since the day I understood my name I asked my dad why he named me like that and i ask my mom why she didn't stop him
