Do people understand your sense of humour

Do you have a sense of humour..? I'm the sort of person who just cant take life all that seriously (except when I am upset about some lame drama in my life). I make goofy jokes. Puns etc... In every opportunity I am finding some way to be amusing. Sometimes I pull it off..other times I fall flat on my face. Most of the time, I think I am being clever and witty when really I am just acting like a douche. I am wondering though.. do you see the world in a humourous light? and do people "get" your type of humour ...? What sort of things do you find funny?

I don't see the world in a humorous light, but if you're "lucky" enough to get to know me I'll crack a good number of jokes. Mostly smart humor, clever or witty things you may have to think about for a second. I'm no coyote, but I know my way around a jokebook.


EDIT: Oh and I'm super sarcastic too. Like all the time.

Well, most people think I have a great sense of humor but my sister was really shocked one day when I was laughing so much at the Japanese words in a book!! I mean, 'momo' is peach, and 'mimi' is 'ear' if I remember it right!! There are quite a few other ones too..
My sister couldn't quite figure out what was so funny and it just made me laugh more!!

Sooo.. sometimes it seems it can be pretty individual, on the other hand if you meet other people who really like your specific sense of humor it can be great too.. A friend of ours has this really weird sense of humor but he did get girls who totally 'dig' it (and him!) and is now happily married!! and fairly successful too!

You must be a very happy person if the words "momo" and "mimi" make you laugh. I'd probably be with your sis on that one. Simple pleasures I suppose...

lol It's not like I read Japanese workbooks all the time...

And there's a lot in this world that simply scares me or makes me angry or said or terrifies me.. so I like to laugh whenever I can

Momo is a girl from a really great children's book otherwise, and a guy's nickname or name, and Mimi is a French name (think about a super-duper Parisian mademoiselle or slightly elderly lady of the night!), so maybe that explains it..
I think it's about languages you know, and overall experiences of sounds and such..

Kiwi, sometimes I'm enthusiastic and kind hearted, and sometimes I can be quite terrible too, so I don't want to stand on any pedestal..
Of course I see now that vj overestimates me

Well I have a pretty dark sense of humor and I can remember quite an amount of occasions where I've creeped people out, mainly surprising people because I apparently don't look like the type of girl who laughs at people in their agony. Whenever I watch horror movies I tend to laugh at people when they die a gruesome death or root for the killer

Or I just laugh at people's mishaps in general. Then again, I don't know anyone who doesn't laugh at others' mishaps these days :b

LOL!!!! Oh the irony~

I only have a sense of humor when im feeling confident and am around people im comfortable with. I just get too nervous and anxious if i make jokes with people who don't know me well, because i get so self conscious they will mistake my remarks for being a douche.

People mistake my sense of humor for evil. I can really only speak my mind in the presence of a few people... a lot are politically correct and afraid to even think about things that are morbid/cruel.

Sometimes I don't come across correctly in text....probably in speech too. I've got a weird sense of humor.
