Two things are notable when looking the lyrical genius of Fiona Apple. The poetic aspect of them and her love of words. My vocabulary has notable increased thanks to her. In this song there is one line that exemplifies this trait.

"My derring-do allows me to dance the rigadoon around you
But by the time I'm close to you,
I lose my desideratum and now you"
Rigadoon - lively couples dance
Desideratum - Something wanted or needed.

And here are some other lyrics I just kinda noticed for the first time (you know what I mean) that I can relate to.

I was looking for a good song and I came across something I have never seen before, Fiona Performing the first song she wrote - at age six. Then it shows her at age 8 then now. Writing songs at age six, incredible. (I don't understand why people were so mean to such a nice girl :( )
