Hmmmn, just wondering to myself about control and such and would be interested to know what you guys think about it
How much control do you think we really have over ourselves? I was reading an article on justaguything.com (lol) and it said that there are three things in life we have control over:
1. the thoughts we think
2. the images we see
3. the way we react to events
and it was basically saying that by gaining a positive control of these we can change ourselves to become the people we want to be.
I'm doubtful about how much control we really have over these though. I mean... thinking is a kind of semi concious thing anyway, and the way we see life etc is something that's been deeply ingrained into our subconcious. Can we really hope to ever alter this (and should we strive to when it's taken us a lifetime to get to that stage)
I suppose we should try to if we feel life isn't going right for us, but how successful can you expect to become when it's taken other people their whole lives to get where you want to be (this is the social anxiety thing lol)
