Hi Silvio, I've been prescribed Citalopram for the past few months now, also on 10mg, and I think they do make somewhat of a difference...

I've noticed I've felt more at ease and calm with myself, once the meds have "kicked in" so to speak, after a couple of weeks taking them. I wake up in the morning not feeling as shitty as I used to, ect.

I wouldn't mind bumping up to 20mg, or even 30mg, but 10 is going okay for now...let me know what you think of them!

Hey Soprano, i was mistaken, i'm on 20mg per day not 10 as i first stated. It's only been 3 days since i started them & i gotta say,,, i don't like them. They make me feel very unco-ordinated & jittery.. I have a gutting feeling in my stomach & loss of appetite but i'm gonna see them through for a couple of weeks & maybe the side effects would have subsided a bit.... I'll let you know.

I was on them a few months back, think they helped a bit, but doc decided to try escitalapram next, think its a newer one, which was okay but got terrible indigestion, decided to wean myself off them very slowly but still ended up with bad withdrawal symtoms, dizziness, severe depression and agression. doc wont let me try any more SSRIs. Give them a chance, each med is different for each individual. At the end of the day anything is better than trying nothing.
