Chemical Lumbar Sympathectomy.

Has anyone heard of this or had it done.
I was referred to a specialist privately after going to see my GP (since we have BUPA) and went to see him a while ago. He mentioned the Chemical Lumbar Sympathectomy as something to look into for the feet hyperhidrosis if Iontophoresis failed to work on them.
I've been looking it up on the internet but can't find much that is relevant, most is about another reason why the procedure is used.
So I was wondering if anyone has hear of this, or had it done?

Thanks. I looked up the CT Flouroscopy and it says about curing hand hyperhidrosis and not feet. All I was told was that it would be under local anaesthetic and a needle would be put in my lower back or something. But he didn't mention it that much as he only said it as a last resort if the iontophoresis didn't work.

So far the iontophoresis is working! I can actually wear slipping without the inside getting sopping wet. :D

The idrostar. Have another treatment tonight..and so far I have noticed a huge improvement.
Do you use iontophoresis? If so, which machine?

Yeah, I noticed it as well, but I've started to get used to it now like you said. I used to get the parts of my fingers around my nails really hurt when I did it. But that's gradually got better and I think, because I read somewhere, probably in the manual that if you have any small cuts to put vaseline on them, that was maybe why. So now I just rub vaseline on my fingers around the nail and it doesn't hurt so much.

Really..might try that tip with the trays. I've never had it as high as 13mA before but, I guess it might be because everyone has a different level of where it works.
