Cell Phones

I dread it when I have an answer phone message on my mobile- I just automatically think that its going to be something negative, and that I'll probably have to ring back.

I also hate the sound of my voice on my answer phone message- my voice sounds so deep and strange.

I hate when my cell phone rings! I rarely answer it, unless I see on the caller ID that it is my boyfriend, or my parents. And even when it's my parents, I get nervous. And I hate when people leave voicemails, because I feel like I then have to call them back, which I hate doing. ugh.

stop giving out your phone number, and you'll never have to call anyone back. :?

I used to hate all types of phones, i still cant really answer the phone in the house unless iam in a really positive mood, but as for mobile phones, i had to accept one as part of my job and well i could have tried to say "no" and make a big scence or just accept it which was easier and well the more i used it the more i got used to it and now its no problem for me :D

i guess everyone is different it helps me to b talking on the cell ,when around strangers,i just wish i hade more phone calls

I carry around my cell all the time but use it like once every 2 months.

I hate phones with a passion. I tried telemarketing jobs and it was pure tourture. The worst part is knowing that the boses have ways to monotor all the calls to see how the employees are doing.

I absolutely hate the phone. I very rarely answer it at home unless I'm positive it's someone I know. I try to avoid owning any sort of mobile if at all possible because it's easier to say "I don't have a cell phone" than "here's my number, but please don't call me." And I refuse to listen to any kind of voicemail, it freaks me out no end. Sometimes I even don't like opening my e-mail in case it's something negative that I have to deal with and respond to.

when my anxiety wasnt that bad & i could actually go out & party with all my friends i always found myself kinda chillen out in the corner acting like i wus textin somebody lol. i always thought it helped me when i wus around people i didnt know so well. it helped me focus more on the things going on around me instead of my own negative thoughts.

I have a lot to say about cell phones, but I'll cut to the chase. I hate them--not answering them, but I hate what they are doing to society. I often find myself surrounded by people on cell phones. Alone in a crowded room, in a manner of speaking. How is it even possible to meet people if everyone is on the phone all the time that they're not with someone else? It makes socializing, as difficult as it already is, completely impossible. As much as I've managed to read into the phenomenon, it seems that the reson people use cell phones as frequently as they do is not out of habit, or addiction, but it's to avoid feeling uncomfortable. I think everyone has a little bit of social anxiety, and one thing that I know bothers most people is being in close proximity with people they don't know... possibly even having to socialize with them. Judging by this thread, the real social phobes don't seem to be adding to this problem, but let's face it, none of us are easy to approach either.

Well, the cell phones still may be; worse about the normal stationary phone at home. I hate picking the receiver up - I haven't the display with the number of calling person.

I also hate phoning to anybody. I am mostly afraid that I will miscall somebody's sex and for example I will name a boy as a girl or inversely (we have in Polish different forms for both sexes) - but not only. (Well, I'm sometimes also miscalled for this reason, but hard luck).

But the cell phones usually show the number, so I have a moment to "preparate myself" psychically ;) ; if it is restricted, I usually don't pick it up.

Greetins! :)
